RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - asagala - 2018-01-31 (2018-01-30, 15:42)mclingo Wrote: try (in KODI DS) "use full screen window" - ticked. If use Kodi refresh rate matching and dont configure madvr switching profiles everything works as expected. Supports 1080p/24 and 4k hdr. Only issue left is dropped frames when embedded subtitles are loaded. Seems to put a higher load on my CPU. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - ashlar - 2018-01-31 (2018-01-31, 03:38)CraftyClown Wrote: Would you suggest I switch off the MadVR controls from within DS and do everything from within MadVR itself?I personally find that easier. But it seriously depends on your logistical situation. I have a wireless keyboard+mouse combo that makes editing settings from madVR panel relatively easy. If one has to bring out a keyboard, connect it to his HTPC and repeat that every time he/she needs to change something, then Kodi DSPlayer internal settings come in handy. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - mclingo - 2018-01-31 does that even work, I thought that was for the KODI player not the DS player? ... and you cant set custom modes so no upscaling will occur?, I play all my content at 2160p23 EDIT - good call - this does work and it also solves another issue I had, when stopping 3D movies I always lost HDMI handshake, this stop using KODI refresh rate switching which confirms that issue is with MADVR. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - spencerjford - 2018-02-01 probably doesn't confirm it's with madVR. it could still be with dsPlayer and how it communicates with madVR. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - arabesc - 2018-02-01 Is there a dedicated bugtracker? I'm worrying that my bug report is left unnoticed. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - spencerjford - 2018-02-02 (2018-02-01, 16:39)arabesc Wrote: Is there a dedicated bugtracker?we don't have an active developer. so yes, your bug report will go unnoticed. Unless it's something he has come across and affects his playback, it's not going to get fixed as he is only really updating DSPlayer to the most recent Kodi version. He's not actively looking on here for bug reports or problems. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Sunset1982 - 2018-02-05 hey guys, is it possible to manually update madVR to the latest version (0.92.12) and still use latest KodiDSPlayer build without errors? Or do I need to wait for a newer build of KDSPlayer? RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - spencerjford - 2018-02-05 I always just update madVR when a new one comes out. so go for it! RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - CraftyClown - 2018-02-08 Hey all, I have a couple of quick questions for you if you don't mind; 1. I am still getting the issue of Kodi reducing size when I come out of 4k playback, leaving it stuck in the top left hand corner. I have seen a number of other people mention this but no obvious solution. Does anyone have a workaround? 2. I'm still not 100% sure I have my audio set up correctly. At present it is going via direct sound to my receiver and everything plays correctly with DD and DTS bitstreaming however I'm noticing some very minor sync issues. Could someone suggest the optimal way to set up my audio devices? Cheers RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - spencerjford - 2018-02-08 are you changing from 1080p to 4k? why not just stay in 4k overall? (unless is this a 3d issue for not staying in 4k?) Also, you need to turn off windows display scaling in 1080p and 4k. the audio.. I can't help ya with that. Use Kodi to match display refresh rate. Leave madvr empty for display rate switching. Works fine that way. I'm already 4k all the way from MadVR to display and no 3d. I've actually managed to fix it without resorting to Kodi doing the switching. 1. MadVR is set to refresh to only 4k resolutions 2. In Kodi 'adjust display refresh rate' is off 3. In DSplayer 'Fullscreen exclusive mode' and 'Force to exit from fullscreen before stop' are both switched on 4. In System/Display I have 'use fullscreen window' set to off This combo of settings guarantees that when I stop playing a 4k movie, Kodi does not pop up to the top left corner and I can also leave Windows scaling at 200% RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - CraftyClown - 2018-02-08 (2018-02-08, 05:21)spencerjford Wrote: are you changing from 1080p to 4k? why not just stay in 4k overall? I have mine set to 200% |
