Why is that? Does your TV have very good upscaling? I'd be very surprised if its better than Madvr's
I have a gtx1030 and a sony xbr900e. I let my display upscale. All I wanted is 4k hdr working and I have it.

Cool. If it works, it works Smile

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - ((( atom ))) - 2018-02-11

Hi,

I just recently moved over from Kodi under Linux to Kodi DSPlayer to make use of all the advanced features like 3D-LUTs and the mighty scaling features. All is set up and actually running nicely so far, exept for the sound.

The problem is that I have to output sound at 44.1 kHz and cannot get it to work. I have a Linux audio renderer that does convolution, crossover, delays, etc. and that machine is configured for 44.1 kHZ as that is my main samplingrate. Audio is sent to it via netjack which works just fine using and ASIO-brigde. The bridge is configured for 44.1 kHz. Nonetheless Kodi outputs 48 kHz to it, causing wild crackling of course.

First I tried using the Kodi menu settings for resampling but as I suspected before they don't do anything.

I guess reclock would help me out so I installed reclock but cannot get it to load. I installed ReClock and can find and configure it in the Windows start menu but not withind Kodi DS.
This thread (DSPlayer with LAV Filters, XySubFilter and madVR Set up Guide post #3) https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=222576 suggests, "ReClock must be selected as the audio renderer under DSPlayer settings" but it does not show up there.

Any hints on how to make this work?

Hi, having trouble with getting this to work properly. The video pops up in the bottom right of the TV. How do I fix this?

Requires x86 version of DSPlayer as there is no x64 reclock>

The steps below currently work for me

1. MadVR is set to refresh to only 4k resolutions. 2160p 23, 2160p 24 etc.
2. In Kodi 'adjust display refresh rate' is off
3. In DSplayer 'Fullscreen exclusive mode' and 'Force to exit from fullscreen before stop' are both switched on
4. In System/Display I have 'use fullscreen window' set to off

Ah, me stupid! Any downsides of just using everything in 32 Bits? ..and shouldn't the native renderer (forgot it's name, PC is down) also support that? I found out it uses sox for resampling to keep sync, so actually it is al there, still it simply ignores the 44.1 kHz the virtual audio interface is announcing.

Hi there guys, been searching for a solution to my problem but haven't found any information about it!

Is there someone out there who can tell me what's wrong with HDR? As soon as there is a subtitle activated, all HDR effect is lost! Madvr runs fine and all but as soon as anyone opens their mouth, the picture is dull and loses most color..

-Fresh install windows 10
-Fresh install DSplayer kodi
-Fresh install madvr

This is really annoying 😡.
Want to use this player because its integrated in Kodi!

Kind regards, Victor

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Yappa - 2018-02-12

Weird, I'm watching my 4K HDR content mostly with subtitles and it works fine.

btw. does this DSPlayer solution also support HLG content? I recorded some 4K HLG stuff, but DSPlayer only plays it in 4K SDR. Works fine using the mediaplayer of the TV.

What are your MadVR HDR settings? Passthrough?

Nvidia graphics? In which case which drivers?

Yes, Nvidia Geforce 1050. Latest drivers (388.43 x64). The settings doesn't seem to change the fact that the hdr stops working Sad. Tested many settings. Installed MPC-BE as standalone now, and that works right away. Subtitles active and working so is HDR.
But NOT in Kodi! 😡

Oh, that's too bad, but at least it's nothing that's wrong in my setup, so I'll just wait and hope that HLG support will come in the near future. Thanks.

Latest driver is 390.77. I have a 1030 and hdr works fine.

RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - goodton - 2018-02-13

HDR-implementation with 388.xx -driver is buggy. You need an older 385.xx -driver or the latest 390.xx to make it work correctly.
