RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - toki5 - 2018-06-04 I am on 2 1080 displays btw. Thank you for the help also RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Razorbob - 2018-06-05 Is there anyway at all to play content from an FTP server, either via sftp or https, like you can on the main Kodi release? I've tried mapping the FTP server as a local drive, but for some reason it messes up the audio and skips a ton of frames. I'm not sure if that's a result of DSPlayer or that the windows drive mapping does something weird and slow. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Warner306 - 2018-06-06 SMB shares are the only option with DSPlayer. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Warner306 - 2018-06-06 For those having problems with fullscreen exclusive mode in Windows (1803), disable Focus Assist. I have already had issues with it and it is annoying RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - toki5 - 2018-06-06 (2018-06-06, 03:12)ajamils Wrote:Focus Assist is in Windows. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - lSi123 - 2018-06-06 Hi, This is the first Time i use Kodi + DSPlayer + madVR .... but there are some Problems i cant fix. 1. everytime i start a movie -> first 5-8 seconds movie hangs/stutter -> after that -> smooth playback (no dropped frames) ... is this "normal" ( Delay madVR playback until render queue is full is "on", Fullscreen exclusive mode is "on") 2. first time a embedded Subtitle is showing -> Video "hangs" for 0,5 - 1 second 3. madVR Statics show "10Bit" Ouput ... but my AV-Reciever says (Input 36bit -> 12bit) ... is this a Problem/Normal ? My Setup: Windows 10 (1803), Geforce 1030 (397.93), Kodi + DSPlayer (17.6), madVR (0.92.14), Pioneer SC-LX502 (AV-Receiver), LG 65C8L (TV) ... RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Warner306 - 2018-06-07 (2018-06-06, 10:06)lSi123 Wrote: Hi,Some of these problems come down to your GT 1030 only having 2 GB of VRAM. It is running out of RAM causing madVR to hang. 1. Some dropped frames are normal and this can be worse with DSPlayer, but your GT 1030 is running out of RAM as madVR is trying to fill the queues. 2. Same as above. The subtitle uses even more memory. Try checking the trade quality for performance checkbox related to subtitles. 3. If you set the GPU to 12-bit, then your receiver is receiving 12-bit, not 10-bit. 12-bits x 3 (RxGxB) = 36 bits. madVR doesn't know what is being sent by the GPU. To reduce the amount of memory used by madVR, reduce the size of the CPU, GPU and present queues. You will still likely have a little stuttering here and there until things get going, but it should improve. Generally, 4GB of VRAM is a safe amount of memory for normal queue sizes at all 4K resolutions. This is only a rule with madVR, of course. DVDFab Player is also out there for automatic HDR and SDR switching. This player can be launched from Kodi as an external player. This has been an issue for some after the Windows update.(2018-06-06, 02:58)Warner306 Wrote: For those having problems with fullscreen exclusive mode in Windows (1803), disable Focus Assist.Tried that and now the drops are shorter but they are happening more often. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - brazen1 - 2018-06-07 In LAV Filter Splitter, you could try decreasing queue settings for memory and packets. Set gpu buffer to 6 and cpu buffer to 12 Use d3d11 and leave it on automatic Use NGU sharp medium. rest of settings are based on Warner306 guide RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Warner306 - 2018-06-09 I wonder if this will be coming to Kodi VideoPlayer Windows? It is the first time I've seen proper colour space handling in Kodi for all bit depths: LibreELEC Test Build with Colour Space Options The Y'CbCr options wouldn't be very useful for Windows. There doesn't appear to be a warning if LibreELEC is converting from RGB to Y'CbCr at output or operating in Y'CbCr if Y'CbCr is chosen. Windows would only be useful in RGB 8-bit or RGB 10-bit. And, I am assuming 8-bit sources would just be passed through, the same as 10-bit sources. Upconverting 8-bit to 10-bit with dithering doesn't seem likely, even if the floating point data is available to make this possible. |
