RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Gee11 - 2018-11-19 Is there an DS Audio Player ? PAPlayer Upmixing is shit RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Warner306 - 2018-11-20 Nope. Only video. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - TrailFoX - 2018-11-20 (2018-11-06, 13:42)mclingo Wrote: few things that could be, do you have full screen windowed ticked in KODI DS and do you KODI DS GUI set to the same res as your PC desktop?thx for your input i try a view things and i think its really the window mode. it works good if i dont usw FSE Mode in the DSPLAYER settings. but when i dont use it i dont get 10bit or 12bit working, just look at the pic with FSE is writen in the top line 12bit, i dont know if that is important... RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Warner306 - 2018-11-20 It won't output 12-bits if you are using Windows 7 or 8. If you are switching from 8-bits at 60 Hz to 12-bits at 24 Hz at playback start, this can also cause a loss of 12-bit output due to a bug with the video driver. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - TrailFoX - 2018-11-20 but when i change to FSE it works in 12bit using win10 which is the best driver? without bug? RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - Warner306 - 2018-11-21 I don't know. I would just use FSE if it is working. Does it work if you set the GPU to 12-bits at 24 Hz and play a video with madVR set to windowed mode (switch to 12-bits without switching refresh rates)? Are you using an older build of madVR? This could also be the cause. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - brazen1 - 2018-11-21 It doesn't matter. nVidia RGB is 8bit only. Setting to 12bit doesn't survive a reboot anymore. It always reverts to 8bit. But, fwiw, FSW or FSE using 12bit RGB under 30Hz dithers to 10bit as it should, at least for 10bit sources like all HDR titles I've encountered. SDR is all 8bit anyway. Folks should understand even if you could retain the 12bit setting, not many displays can dither down to the 10bit that they are properly. You would probably be doing more harm than good tbh. If you happen to have a rare 12bit display, then it's different but only then. This is why nfrickenvidia needs a 10bit RGB mode. RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - TrailFoX - 2018-11-21 ok thx for the input, i wil try. but now i have other problem, i cant play DTS, its working in the past but now it stops playing. i can play every format but not DTS. DTS HD MA and True HD / Atmos is working fine, but if i want to play DTS no sound comes out. the last year im using sanear without problems but i dont know whats happen now can somebody help me please RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - mclingo - 2018-11-21 Hi, best to do a bit of house keeping before you go further i'd say to prevent any further issues. Firstly update MADVR to latest version Then update your LAV filters to latest version, note, you have to copy them from the program files folder into your KODI install folder as DS doesnt use external filters in the same way MPC does, i'm using portable install so my location is here. T:\KODI DS\system\players\dsplayer\LAVFilters This may solved your DTS problem anyway. If this doesnt work and you are using passthrough turn it off, if DTS comes back its likely a driver issue. If you happen to have a rare 12bit display, then it's different but only then. This is why nfrickenvidia needs a 10bit RGB mode.I don't agree. Before 10-bit UHD panels came along, virtually every 8-bit panel I've come across could dither a 12-bit input to 8-bits without banding. I have doubts it would be any different with 10-bits. The display should handle this in the exact same way, unless it is processing the image at a lower bit depth. Rounding from 10-bits rather than 12-bits before output could cause this problem. 12-bit support shouldn't be indicated by the display if this was the case. There is a reason why many high-end panels are still 8-bit FRC. Some of the new panel technology still isn't that great. The causes of banding are bit (rounding) errors or displays that can't produce smooth gradients (lack of screen uniformity). Both could be issues with current panels. I'm guessing both of my 1080p displays handle internal image processing at 14-16 bits. Sony TVs process at 14-bits. Sony TVs shouldn't have any issue with a 12-bit input. The Vizio P Series Quantum are known to have significant issues with banding, and Vizio is supposed to be using true 10-bit panels. VA panel technology and/or 10-bit panels could be causing issues where lower bit depths are being used for image processing or gradients not being drawn smoothly. Just look at the description... RE: Kodi DSPlayer – DirectShow Player for Windows - TrailFoX - 2018-11-21 i saw it its allready uncheckt. also convert output to standard i have now uncheckt |
