You can use it anywhere with a TV and electricity. Specific apps on the FireTV might be geolocked. Kodi shouldn't have any issues, of course.

You can, but you need to immerse the stick in a bucket of Labatt's Blue for a fortnight, then wearing nothing but goalie pads and a Wayne Gretzky jersey, turn widdershins one time for each province while singing a mash-up of "Oh Canada" and "Call me Maybe".
