Kodi testbuild with AudioDSP support - AchimTuran - 2015-05-10

Hi community I have recompiled Kodi with AudioDSP support and added our AudioDSP Add-ons.
This version can be used for Windows.

Before you use Kodi with AudioDSP support please backup your userdata.
As usuall this is a develop version and can include several bugs. To prevent your speakers please use a low volume first and if all works you can use a higher volume.

There is ABSOLUTELY NO WARRANTY for your speakers. You use this development version at your own risk.

AudioDSP for Kodi 2015-05-09download

CHANGELOG
  • Added adsp.biquad.filters addon

Edit:
I removed the link to the testbuild, because it is very outdated and AudioDSP is already merged into Jarvis. Consequently the link is obsolete.

I scanned the file with Microsoft Security Essentials and it reported NO viruses. There is no virus inside, it's a fresh build from Kodi with AudioDSP support.
Sorry I don't use chrome, maybe chrome has some issues.

RE: Kodi testbuild with AudioDSP support - qzem - 2015-05-14

Does AudioDSP need a lot of CPU power, or should it run ok on newer Intel Celeron?

It depends on the used add-ons. You can't say AudioDSP is CPU hungry or consumes less CPU cycles.
Why are you asking this?
e.g. adsp.biquad.filters and his EQ mode consumes less cpu cycles, but adsp.freesurround needs more cpu power.

RE: Kodi testbuild with AudioDSP support - wsnipex - 2015-05-14

a celeron shouldn't have any problems running it.

Thanks for your answer. I was just curious, if using this plugin would affect on my htpc performance.

Hi

Very keen to explore this much-needed (IMO) feature. Should I be seeing a DSP dialog/control panel in this build? I've enabled Audio DSP Processing in System>Settings and enabled all the bundled DSP addons, but calling up Audio DSP Manager does nothing. I may not have installed correctly.

Debug log: http://xbmclogs.com/pczm2iqob

Thanks for any pointers.

Is it correct that you're using the skin: "skin.aeon.nox" with my build?
If yes please switch to the skin confluence. Other skins are currently not supported.
Here is the error in your log file.

If you don't wanna use AudioDSP addon system, just disable it and it won't do any further processing Wink

That fixed it. Thank you - this is wonderful.
Can't wait till I can get it up and running on the Kodibuntu machine feeding my hifi speakers.

I tested out the EQ (Biquad Filters) on a Windows tablet just now that is running a little wimpy ATOM processor, and it worked great! Very awesome. I'll try to test out the other stuff tomorrow.
