nobody.loopback Wrote:Dont know exactly because I still dont have an oversight about the architecture of XBMC, what I suggested is, if the channel name is "AAA", and, the EPG title of the current channel is "some nice movie", just concat those two strings in the module which read the channel, then it will appear in the channel list, and, also in the info window of the playing movie.
This is easy.

Another thing is to have the now/next functionality, and, the long EPG, This has to be done in the main app, also a complete new module has to be written.

what do you mean by "Is there possiblity of using the pvr testing features?"

There used to be a script done by bigbellybilly, I think, which grabbed the epg for a dreambox and allowed zapping and recording sheduling. I'll see if I can find it and test it, no reason why it shouldn't still work.

What I meant by the pvr testing branch, is the branch of xbmc (which will be mergers after dharma I think) with the pvr front ends for vdr, myth, tv serve etc. This has a generic interface which is populated according to the back end you specify.

As this is done with the myth:// protocol, could it be possible with the tuxbox:// ?

any way of getting this to work with enigma2?

- Dullie - 2010-08-23

I am having difficulties getting this feature to work.. Sometimes it does work and sometimes it doesnt at all.. Most of the time it doesnt..

I am using DM800 and DM8000..

The address I have is as follows tubox://192.168.1.78:80/Favorites (TV)

VLC streaming works perfect on both machines. But it does not work with XBMC Tuxbox..

Ah, i see, there is already some work in progress.
But then, it doesnt make much sense to invest efforts in a solution which is specific for the tuxbox (?)

Don't know really, would need the input of one of the devs I suppose.

But if the myth work can be ported to be a pvr frontend, then it could be the same for the tuxbox work? Don't think anyone has thought about if before

Right, PVR is not limited to myth or other backends. Once the PVR code is in place someone should start a tuxbox addon.

The pvr part is going to be merged to svn after dharma?

Exactly.

after my attempt to switch on BABY TV channel my xbmc hunged up during 15 minutes. I can see only "WORKING" label on right bottom side of my screen.

17:03:31 T:2940787568 M:122535936 DEBUG: Open - av_find_stream_info starting
17:18:24 T:2940787568 M:112189440 DEBUG: ffmpeg[AF48DB70]: [mpegts] Could not find codec parameters (Video: mpeg2video)

here's I described my problem http://trac.xbmc.org/ticket/9992 with the log

it's happened not so often, but it's happened
does someone have the same issue as me ?

- nobody.loopback - 2010-08-27

This is not an FTA channel ?
( RRSat, 10971H, Viacess encryption)

Just, to be sure: you have a valid card or, something else which opens the channel ?

- Goga777 - 2010-08-27

yes, it's not fta channel
I have something to open it

I will check with fta channel and revision r32709

Important additional (sorry, I forgot to mention it) - I have the dish rotor, that's why I should wait for several seconds to tune and have a LOCK. Before this usually I have the warning message from xbmc about not possibility to tune on channel.

- nobody.loopback - 2010-08-27

I have a similar problem with ORF1 (which also is encrypted)
I can switch to any channel, (encrypted or not) but, not to ORF1.

I have not paid much attention to this, until now, I thought, that might because of the high data rate of this channel.

I check what my logs tell.....

- Goga777 - 2010-08-27

which xbmc revision do you use ?

- nobody.loopback - 2010-08-27

Svn-32575m
