I had the same problem as Kobazz with the advancedsettings.xml file; could not connect when the file was in place, could connect when I deleted it.

Turned out it was not a problem with the file itself, but a setting in it. I changed the defaultrootentry from 4 to 0 and then it worked with the file in place.

Do not know what this setting does. Some documentation of all the settings would be nice, as well as a man page.

I fully second the suggestion to include these settings on a page in the UI. Perhaps this is the start of a new client plug in system for XBMC? You could plug different clients into it, one for TuxBox, MC etc.

Any plans on reconsidering to support neutrino as well? i bet the majority of people that use a dbox2 use neutrino.. and a lot of people have the dbox2 and can't afford to get a dreambox....

I used to use Neutrino with my dbox2 until I discovered pb-enigma.
If I were you I'd give it a go,If you don't like it you can always return to your prefered Neutrino image.

sorry to be appear a complete muppet but how do i change the the ip address the tuxbox client searches for . its automatically searching for the wrong ip and its not obvious to me how to change this. Presuming there should be a file to edit. Where is its location ??

Have specifically changed from Neutrino to enigma to try this.Hoping it works as well as the dbox2tv version did. Big Grin

I was wondering if there is any word on the audio out of sync problem. I have to set it to about -0.3 to get it in sync.

I'm also wondering what type of interlace handling you people are using. I think Weave (interleaved) gives the best visible result
