adbfire and Amazon Fire TV 2 - kdao - 2015-10-07

Hi All,

I got the newest Amazon Fire TV 2 and latest adbfire 1.31 on Windows.

When I connect to the device i got "offline" status.

Does anybody run into the same problem .

Please help me, I want to install Kodi onto it

Thanks a lot

I haven't played too much with the Firetv2 but it sideloaded right up without any issues. Kodi ran fine but firetv launcher kept crashing.

Hello,

Did you ever get this resolved. I have the same problem. My adbfire connects and work great with my FireTV Box Gen1. But I get the "offline" message with the FireTV Box Gen2.

Have not tried the ADB on the Fires lately. However, these days most people use "ES file Explorer", hence no need for ADB, PC, etc.
Install from Amazon Store, copy APKs via ES File Explorer from network share and install app.

That is how I sideloaded Kodi to two Fire Sticks just last week.

Does Kodi show up on the home screen ?

Sadly it does not, had to "sacrifice" and app, in my case I used IkonoTV and using Llama for Kodi to be launch. This trick takes less than 5mins once you master it

I use AGK Fire, sideload the apps from my Samsung tablet, works great!
