Disable DVD Drive checking? - nolos - 2015-11-23
Is there a way to disable the DVD drive in Kodi? I'm ripping my DVD collection so I've got a separate program accessing the drive all day. A large percentage of the things I click on in Kodi try to access that drive and since it's competing with the DVD ripping program, it takes 20 seconds to load what im trying to go to every time I click something. Thanks.

The DVD drive shouldn't be active if there's nothing in it, but as you mentioned, you are using it all day. The sniffing of the optical drive is part of your o/s, here's a work around batch file, but I don't think that's what you want. http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=141414&pid=1542302#pid1542302
