You shouldn't have to, even on an ATV4: Caches explained (wiki)

Well its just on my nexus player when the cache would be full I would have streaming issues and since I recently got koditv on my atv4 I was wondering in advance if I'd have to worry about bleeding cache or not, I have the latest build of koditv

It shouldn't have happened even on your Nexus Player. It normally only happens when it involves a pirate/bootleg streaming add-on (due to the sloppy way those add-on authors did things), which we don't support.
