hi,
i use mediaportal pvr backend for live-tv. with that backend its possible to add radio channels as web-streams. its simple: within mediaportal backend you add a new radio channel, give the channel a name and put in the stream-url. this works good within kodi. but the problem is the informations (artist + name of the song) is not displayed within kodi (not in fullscreen and also not on homescreen). but i know this informations are included within the stream (if i play the same streams with another music-addon (where its possible to add own radio stations/urls) the informations are there)).
can anyone help? is it a problem of the skin (confluence) or what can i do?

Yes confirm. It appears for a few seconds at startup. Then disappears

Have you enabled the "parse RDS data" in the settings? It's somewhere in there, can't remember where exactly.

Yes, alas, confirm this problem... It appears for a few seconds at startup. (in v16-Jarvis and v17-Krypton too).

i think that has nothing to do with "rds". "real" antenna radio has rds, but i talk about a webstream.
@onfreedom: it seems this is a bug or a missing feature. in every case this problem is skin related. please ask developer here: http://forum.kodi.tv/forumdisplay.php?fid=260

KODI v16, v17. Tested on various skins.
Metadata don't displayed.
Sometimes displayed text like "pvr.iptvsimple_7658736987.pvr"

In your stream media simply do not have the data. Try - http://live.radiorostov.ru:8000/rostovradio or http://5.39.71.159:8110/stream

i tested this on hundreds radio streams, that i know have data, for example SomaFM streams
