Stereoscopic 3D rendering: Stereoscopic 3D rendering is only enabled on systems that have all the components that are stereoscopic 3D-capable. These components include 3D-capable display hardware, graphics hardware, peripherals, and software applications. System requirements: 1. Windows 8 and later. 2. WDDM 1.2 video driver. (To check version of driver please run dxgiag on your PC and look at [i]Driver Model at the Display section.) 3. DirectX 10 capable and higher video hardware. 4. 3D-capable display. Also you need enable checkbox Stereo 3D settings for all supported displays in Screen Resolution control panel, as shown here: Useful tools: To check that your system is Stereo 3D capable you can install Stereo 3D test application from Microsoft Store and run it. Anyone who can try these test build can provide their input and findings so I can add to the list help other on what hardware to get. Notes: Most functions in Kodi is not working since this an early Krypton Kodi 17 Build RE: 3D Bluray - Nelbert - 2016-02-25 (2016-02-24, 21:48)afedchin Wrote:(2016-02-24, 19:48)Nelbert Wrote: Intel HD 3000 integrated graphics.... supports 3D according to thisYes it is, but the latest drivers supports Intel Media SDK v.1.7, but Kodi requires v1.8. You can download latest Intel Media SDK from intel.com site and Kodi will use software decoding, your CPU more what enough to decode mvc. Installed 2014 R2. Same error as before Quote:2:00:21 T:10024 NOTICE: DVDPlayer: Opening: bluray://udf%3a%2f%2fsmb%253a%252f%252fdiskstationa%252fHD%2520Movies%252fAvatar%2520(2009)%252fAvatar%2520(2009)%25203D%2520Bluray.iso%2f/BDMV/PLAYLIST/00000.mpls Does that help? Previously no issue on Isengard (albeit Kodi defaulted to playing in 2d). It plays fine using VCD and PowerDVD on my main HTPC. Only compatible with generation after my CPU.... Any other method? Is there 2015 version? RE: 3D Bluray - afedchin - 2016-02-26 I have no idea. RE: 3D Bluray - Ace - 2016-02-26 You could try to mount the iso locally to rule out fs issues RE: 3D Bluray - Nelbert - 2016-02-27 Ok I can report some scenarios and the results. Playing ISO directly in kodi - not working for me Mounting iso and hitting play - not working Navigating to the bdmv manually - not working Navigating to the playlist manually - plays in 2D and no option to switch to 3D (uses h264 decoder not mvc) Navigating to the ssif manually - working* *the audio pass through although working fine reports 0 channels on the codec info (receiver picks up all channels fine. The processor is really struggling to play it and there is obvious stuttering and missed frames however these don't seem to be reported back to Kodi by the mvc decoder. The mvc decoder is still used if you select monoscopic / 2D option (which would be fine if the processor was up to the task I suppose. The high CPU usage would seem to indicate the hardware acceleration feature isn't being used I assume? RE: 3D Bluray - afedchin - 2016-02-27 1. In next version 3dbd will work properly. 2. Decoder cannot be changed on the fly when stereo mode was changed. Decoder can be disabled in the Settings -> Video -> Acceleration. 3. Yes, high CPU usage indicates software decoding. RE: 3D Bluray - Nelbert - 2016-02-27 This will only ever be an intel solution, I assume? (Or will the software decoding work with an AMD CPU?) Looking for an excuse to upgrade my main HTPC anyway! RE: 3D Bluray - Skank - 2016-02-27 I wonder that too, i have an amd A6, wonderif thats powerful enough RE: 3D Bluray - afedchin - 2016-02-27 (2016-02-27, 11:16)Nelbert Wrote: This will only ever be an intel solution, I assume? (Or will the software decoding work with an AMD CPU?)Yes, AMD drivers doesn't support Intel MSDK, so on ADM GPU software decoding will work. RE: 3D Bluray - da-anda - 2016-02-27 my notebook has an i5 with 2,4 GHz and a legacy AMD HD GPU and it worked for me. CPU was maxed out ofc RE: 3D Bluray - afedchin - 2016-02-27 i5 has it's own gpu. but it requires a connected display to use hardware decoding. |
