With Win7, full 3D Framepacked would work but not OU/SBS ?
on Win7 you still can decode MVC but only the TAB/SBS output is possible. And you will need to switch the display to 3D mode manually.
Thanks, I see Sad
I'm not ready yet to switch to Win10 so the Pi2 will do it for now... Sad

RE: 3D Bluray - movie78 - 2016-03-02

Try two AMD CPU hardware with my BenQ PJ and both 3D playback fails, once the movie start Kodi freeze and stop working.

Debug log.

If it's woeking, is there anything else to configure in the settings?
I was wrong. The issue caused by decoder. It will be fixed in next build.

What's happening is the videos are playing in 3D but the SBS videos end up being vertically compressed. Also had an issue just playing a TAB video and it was horizontally squeezed. So things are happeneing, even if they are odd.
It's a Kryphon issues. And it will be fixed in the future.

You can use win8 instead of win10 Smile

Something goes wrong in driver:
Quote:Creating swap chain failed with error: 887B0002 - Unknown (The driver has rejected the creation of this resource.)
perhaps driver doesn't support stereo mode in windowed mode. try to switch in true full screen.

Edit: This also may occur if your display isn't a primary display.

With my hardware drivers?

Both my AMD had the same issue.
AMD A8-3850 APU with Radeon™ HD Graphics
AMD FX-8350 Black Edition

Well, not my own.

Cool and Cool. Not to sound impatient but it there any timeline on this next build? Days/weeks?

I should also add that in my testing 3D MVC MKV files, 3D TAB MKV and 3D SBS MKV files all worked and were recognized simply by the stereo field mode in the video stream (13) of the file header. You can learn more about header fields here. This is IMO the best way to have 3D movie rips, videos and so on. The only issue to resolve which I believe is being looked at is support for 3D depth on subtitles. Subs work but not on a specific 3D plain and can sometimes end up 'behind' objects they should be in front of.

My 3D display is primary, DLP Projector BenQ W1070

What exact hardware are you using?

No ETA yet. I'm still investigating. Actually the stereo field (13) causes an issue. It works in Jarvis but not in Kryphon.

Try with true full screen i.e. disable Use full screen window in Setting -> System -> Video

I'm on Intel Core i3-3225 + TV Philips

What issue is it causing? For me it put Kodi into the proper 3D mode (and works the same on the Raspberry Pi). For some reference, why is pushing to alpha Krypton the way to go rather than working within Jarvis towards 16.1? I just don't understand jumping ahead 1-2 versions or I'm missing something.

Is the stereo field causing issues with the stuttering and audio, or just other issues in general?

What I found odd when testing was one movie would work great and then 4 all had big issues and all 4 were Fox films. Paramount films worked fine if played from the start and left alone. Dreamworks (which were Paramount) played ok with stuttering video. I didn't test many more than that however.

Regardless, awesome work getting this going as it's something I've been researching and looking for the past 3 years. The fact I watched full 3D MVC MKV on a HTPC last night was like Christmas and Spirng Break all in one!

It would better if they release a Kodi Jarvis version instead pushing it Krypton...All my Addon stop working because none of them is compatible with Krypton

Try with true full screen i.e. disable Use full screen window in Setting -> System -> Video

I'm on Intel Core i3-3225 + TV Philips

So you have the i3 3rd Generation So this one should be good enough

How snappy and fluid is browsing your movie catalog?

Yeah should be fine he even specifically mentioned the i3 4010u previously in the thread I think. I'm thinking of getting one of these and then upgrade down the road when 4K HW decode is a standard feature possibly when I can afford to upgrade to a 4K projector (perfectly happy with my BenQ W1070 at the moment though!).

RE: 3D Bluray - Nelbert - 2016-03-02

As an aside I'd like to repeat the sentiment of the thanks for the hard work in this area! it's essentially fulfilled my all encompassing Full 3D and HD audio bitstreaming hopes! And given me the excuse to upgrade the main HTPC to one that will also work with Xbox One game streaming (Fallout on the projector via stealth as far as the wife approval factor goes........).

Me? nothing with hardware decode unfortunately. My laptop with i5 2520M processor hooked up to my BenQ W1070 (via Yamaha RX375 amp) for testing. Software decode is hit and miss (seems to struggle with very high bit rate MVC such as Avatar). Working solidly for me that aside though I've not been able to test much past a few mins per movie due to time restraints).
