DVD Playback problem Kodibuntu - tmaniac84 - 2016-04-24
Hello Folks,
i have small problem with my kodibuntu installation.
I'm running the kodibuntu lubuntu version installed to my hdd from the live-cd and upgraded to the latest kodi release (16.1)
whenever i insert a dvd and hit the play shortcut my entire htpc freezes.
i've been browsing the forums to find a solution to my problems and so far i have found the following.
When i fire up the following command as root i can watch 1 dvd;

udevadm control --reload-rules ; udevadm triggerAfter i run this command i get the notification that the disc is mounted and i'm able to play the disc.
if i switch discs i have to run the command again.
what i was thinking is to create an "on-disc-insert" script that runs the above command.
(the problem is: i have no idea how/what/where; need a little help with that
)this does not resolve the problem, it's just a workaround.
If any of you guys is an expert in lubuntu, i coud really use the help
