RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - Milhouse - 2016-12-31 (2016-12-31, 17:05)C-Quel Wrote: Any advice on compiling a build anywhere? Fancy trying to rebuild emulators for a laugh today as kids fancy a bash on some NES classics and I won't jeopardise my DBs ;-) https://wiki.libreelec.tv/index.php?title=Compile Edit: Emulators should still work with #1212b RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - C-Quel - 2016-12-31 Thanks Milhouse fancy having a bash at building tbh for a few weeks to waste ;-) RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - ptr727 - 2016-12-31 Hi, I am running build #1230, on an Intel NUC NUC D34010WYK, connected to Marantz AVR via HDMI, connected to LG TV, configured for HDMI audio passthrough, and refresh rate switching on start/stop. I've been running OpenELEC 5.0.8 on this same setup for a long time, no issues, super stable, so stable that kids and wife have no complaints. I wanted to try the Plex for Kodi addon (to get rid of mySQL syncing), so I switched to LibreELEC 7.0.2. Sometimes, I get a no video if I power on with the AVR and TV off, if I power on with the AVR and TV on I get video. Often, when I press play I get a black screen, no video, no debug output on screen, TV does switch from 60p to 24p, but no audio or video, if I click stop I get video, if I retry a couple times, the movie will play. If I disable refresh rate switching, the movie will play. I tried the LibreELEC 7.90.010 Alpha build, same issue. I tried Millhouse Generic build #1230, same issue. Debug log here: http://sprunge.us/YHiL Full log in zip here: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AqeqhT0NczrNhNVHupCy-uocu2yToQ In this log I had to reboot with the TV on to get video. In this log Mockingjay failed to play the first time, but played the second time. In this log Deepwater failed to play the first time, but played the second time. I tested on two different systems with the same setup, NUC, AVR, LG TV, just different TV sizes, they all have the same symptoms. I reported the issue here: https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread-3358.html There is an old unresolved thread describing he same problem here: https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread-525.html I am hoping to get some attention to the issue here? RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - Milhouse - 2016-12-31 @ptr727 with either 7.90.010 or latest Milhouse build switch on your AVR & TV then boot LibreELEC. Connect with ssh and run "getedid create" - this will configure your system with a static edid so that the system will boot with working video even when the AVR is off. As for your other blackscreen-on-playback issues, I believe these are Intel/kernel issues that need to be reported upstream to https://bugs.freedesktop.org RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - ptr727 - 2016-12-31 (2016-12-31, 20:02)Milhouse Wrote: @ptr727 with either 7.90.010 or latest Milhouse build switch on your AVR & TV then boot LibreELEC. Ok, thank you for the quick reply, under what product/topic should I file the bug at bugs.freedesktop.org, I'm not familiar with usage of that site? Connect with ssh and run "getedid create" - this will configure your system with a static edid so that the system will boot with working video even when the AVR is off. File it under product="DRI", component "DRM/Intel", version="Xorg git". There's a ton of Intel-related "black screen" bugs, any one of which might cover your issue so check those first. For better advice you'll need to wait for an Intel expert. RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - Roby77 - 2016-12-31 Interesting ...getedid create give same result as http://wiki.openelec.tv/index.php/Configuring_a_Custom_xorg.conf#tab=Intel. ?? Btw as discussed on libreelec forum this problem affect many Intel user +avr RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - ptr727 - 2016-12-31 (2016-12-31, 20:36)Milhouse Wrote:(2016-12-31, 20:09)ptr727 Wrote:(2016-12-31, 20:02)Milhouse Wrote: @ptr727 with either 7.90.010 or latest Milhouse build switch on your AVR & TV then boot LibreELEC. This one sounds promising: https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=97330 I'd love for an "Intel Expert" to chime in here on what next steps to take? Yes, basically. It automates the creation of edid for intel and nvidia gpus. RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - C-Quel - 2017-01-01 Thanks Milhouse got it working to a certain degree but was very unstable so took your advice and dropped back a few builds! RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - vali - 2017-01-01 Hi, how to add Games to home menu like lrusak builds? Thank you. RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - Roby77 - 2017-01-02 Just curious, am i the only one that some dvd doesn't playback correctly since about 15 days build ? If i press Play on a dvd iso.... background music of the dvd start but kodi remains in menĂ¹ library not a big problem, usually i convert dvd in mkv RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - _matt_ - 2017-01-02 Anyone else having issues queuing items with recent builds? Queuing (using either my regular remote or the Kore remote app) looks like it works. The focus blinks and moves to the next movie/episode, but no link to the queue ever appears in the side bar. Maybe the queue is being populated, but the link to it isn't being triggered? I'll try to get a log later. Happy New Year, everybody!
