RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - guandms - 2017-12-14 OK On my i3 7th Gen NUC after Firmware update to 1.72 (In Windows Everything is working DTS/HD/HDR/4K The Works) In libreELEC with the latest build #1213 - HD Audio is working just fine, No HDR yet P.S. 4K resolution is limited to 30fps, i saw in the forum that someone fixed it with something called "xrandr" - if you can implement it here also that would be great, here is the link to the thread: https://forum.libreelec.tv/thread/9179-intel-nuc-kodi-on-4k-is-limited-to-30fps/?postID=73211#post73211 RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - turbobuickguy - 2017-12-14 (2017-12-12, 16:07)Milhouse Wrote:(2017-12-12, 14:19)turbobuickguy Wrote: What would be the currently recommended build to use with my NUC, the most recent 1211b? RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - sleepi - 2017-12-16 Hi Milhouse, I hope it's okay to post my issue here? If not, just let me know. I updated to the latest release and have some trouble with PVR (Zattoo). All is good for 1-2 minutes but after that all channels start to stutter. Restarting the stream fixes the issue for another 30 seconds, before it starts stuttering again. I already tried to switch back to an older release, but still the same problem. So I am not 100% sure if this is related to your release. Anyway, I created a debug log and hope you can help or give an advice: http://sprunge.us/FEEB I also noticed that the FPS dropped from 50 to 20-22 at the point the where the stuttering starts. Thanks in advance! What "older release" did you try? Presumably a LibreELEC 8.x/Kodi 17 release? This is most likely a video player issue, so you may need to open a trac ticket on trac.kodi.tv for the attention of @FernetMenta. Assuming there is no issue with Kodi 17, but only with Kodi 18a1, then it would be possible to identify the first Kodi 18a1 test build that introduced this problem if you worked your way methodically through the available test builds in this thread. Knowing the first build with the issue would help the developers a lot. Presumably a LibreELEC 8.x/Kodi 17 release?Unfortunately, I am not quite sure which release it was, but it was one of your releases from November. Didn't update for a while and decided to update to the latest release yesterday. No LibreELEC 8.x/Kodi 17 release. Will try to go back a bit more and see if that helps. RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - sleepi - 2017-12-16 @Milhouse Did go back a few more releases. #1111 (11-Nov-2017) is the last working release without the stuttering. Hope this helps. If you need anymore infos or logs from me, just let me know. There was a big "PVR Client cleanup" in #1112: (2017-11-13, 02:37)Milhouse Wrote:which seems like a candidate, but not sure why it would affect only pvr.zattoo. #1112 also bumped the kernel to 4.14.0 but that seems a less likely cause, however you could test #1106x which is based on 4.14-rc8 to be sure (this should not have the stutter, assuming they are caused by PR13040 which is only in #1112+). Exactly. #1111 is working. #1112 has the stuttering. Just installed #1106x and it also has the stuttering. So the kernel update seems to be the culprit here? So the kernel update seems to be the culprit here? Bummer, do all of the 4.14 release candidates have the same stutter? Links to the release candidates are in the 4.14.0 PR. A kernel issue is usually much harder to pin down, let alone solve, unfortunately. Unfortunately, yes Checked all of them. I also noticed that all RCs directly start with the stuttering. In the final it usually takes a few minutes (more or less) before it starts. |
