Just testing the commit on my local git rep here, so far no luck. hope it's just me not able to really compile with the applied patch. So far, my build still shows the slow dir listing behaviour.

my network is fine as I can download other files fine.

I'm having a problem with the "Downmix: Center Mix Level" setting (accessed from the OSD Audio Settings menu). I can make an adjustment, and hear the change, but even after choosing "Set as default for all media" and choosing "Yes" it forgets this setting after rebooting. Occurs with Estuary or Aeon Nox 5: SiLVO skins.
Milhouse build #910, x86 generic, hardware in signature.

@Milhouse is there any way to transplant the newer DVBViewer addon into #911? I thought I'd figured this out when I found the pvr.dvbviewer folder in /usr/share/kodi but that location turns out to be read-only and I can't figure out a way to make it writable. The 1-2 minute waits every time I enter the TV section are unbearable but there are some nice additions and fixes in the addon in #912+.

Regarding the slow directory and I guess for you guys library loading/listing, see my comment on github:
https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/14456#issuecomment-423683847
In short ... we were looking at the wrong commit that might have caused the issue at first. After bisecting and manual testing I can say for sure, that for me dir listing is back to normal speed without the mentioned commit in my comment. Can't say for library listing since I am on a naked, fresh install for testing and don't have enough items scanned in library to verify this. But I highly suspect that it's the same issue regarding directory / library listings.
Anyhow ace20022 will need to fix his commit.

RE: LibreELEC Testbuilds for x86_64 (Kodi 18.0) - Milhouse - 2018-09-22
The PR that is suspected of causing the slow library loads is now reverted in the last build #0921 (only reverted in x86_64 as it's not so easy to revert from RPi/RPi2). If library loading is back to normal then the focus can switch to a complete fix.

You can override the NTP settings for all connections in Settings > LibreELEC > Network > NTP Servers, I believe.
Or there are per-connection settings in Settings > LibreELEC > Connections, edit your Connection and configure NTP Servers.
However if you have multiple clients and you are using DHCP then you might be better off configuring NTP in the DHCP settings (if your DHCP server doesn't support NTP then run a local DHCP server on the same server as your NTP server?)
