This is so much more accurate than tvdb as of late (ref: Ancient Aliens)
They will also work with you for changes as long as the source is correct, tvdb will not. (Ref: http://forums.thetvdb.com/search.php?keywords=ancient+aliens&sid=f5aa0e5afbc6f80c8bb057b3df084e74)
It seems that they have lost their way and are becoming almost irrelevant as far as current metadata, meaning so many series that are incomplete and not current, where tvmaze is making great headway and are more current on more items.
Also TMDB is making great headway into accuracy of TV programs, go figure
