I recently upgraded from Kodi 15 to Kodi 17, and reinstalled Confluence immediately after updating. I noticed a minor issue, and not 100% sure if it is a skin problem or not. In Kodi 15, when I paused a video, it would show "PAUSED" up in the right hand corner. In Kodi 17, now it shows "SEEKING", which I previously only saw when I was skipping backwards/forwards. my OCD is going crazy seeing the wrong thing

You could try and update Confluence skin from the github repo and see if that solves your issue.
I never saw this issue from Kodi 15.x to 18.x with Confluence skin.
My most educated guess would be an old version of Confluence skin.
If all fails you could try the new default skin and see if it contains the same issue or not (probably not).

i have the same issue. skin showing seeking instead of paused. reinstalled skin but still the same. any fix pls?

I have the same problem. Running 17.1 using Confluence; when pausing a video it shows "SEEKING" instead of "PAUSED" in the upper right corner.

see if changing the skin resolves your issue. in my case, seeking is like buffering when i skip the movie forward or backward

Temp fix for confluence-3.0.39-[Kodi 17]; Get "PAUSED" instead of "SEEKING" when pausing video:
Change 31046 to 31043 in line #112 in file addons/skin.confluence/720p/Includes.xml
