Backup of main menu not properly restored - CiNcH - 2017-04-21 See here. RE: Backup of main menu not properly restored - CiNcH - 2017-09-14 Just some comment on this... After restoring my configuration via Backup add-on, the settings.xml of the Estuary skin with the changed main menu is indeed written. But the main menu does not change on-the-fly. When I now exit Kodi, the restored settings.xml again gets overwritten with the previous one. I have to "force stop" Kodi on Android after restoring from backup so that Kodi does not have the chance to overwrite certain config files on exit again. RE: Backup of main menu not properly restored - trogggy - 2017-09-14 Unless the backup addon's changed since I last used it (a good while ago), IIRC you can't restore a settings file that's in use. So switch to a different skin, do the restore, switch back and estuary settings should be restored. Probably. The same limitation applies (or at least used to) to guisettings.xml - it's restored but not applied. |
