help with 5.1 DD movie list - chinslip - 2017-05-02

hello everyone, I'm the noob of all noobs. I just got my first android box 4 weeks ago. So please be gentle. Is it at all possible to setup a movie list that will only show me movies that are HD and 5.1 audio? Right now I have to look through many movie to find one that meets my needs. Also when a movie plays is there a way to find out if it is HD and 5.1? Should there be a box somewhere showing if movies are SD, HD, 2.0, 5.1 etc?? I have a minix neo u1 and just installed aeon nox from the skins menu in krypton 17. Huh

Sure, you can make a smart playlist with amount of audio channels set to 6 and video resolution above 719 and add that to the main menu.

thanks for the reply. Would there be a "how to" or a youtube video on how to do this? Do I have to use aeon nox? I'm a noobie and dont know any of the lingo or what to look for or what questions to ask. thanks

so I've created a smart playlist as per the instructions. But nothing shows up in my "HD movies" playlist. I've read and read and can't figure it out. Do I have to add some content the this folder? Do I need a library first? Any help would be greatly appreciated. thank

Yes, you need a local library first. See http://kodi.wiki/view/Video_management for info.
