Browsing SMB mounted video shares doesn't work, audio share crashes XBMC - jerkychew - 2008-03-02 (Let me know if there's a better place to post these bugs) 1) Set up SMB stuff in system - Networking: Workgroup set to jerkychew, username xbox password xbox (domain user on Win2k3 SP2 domain), WINS server 192.168.2.2 (domain controller). Restart. 2) Video - add source - browse JerkyChew workgroup, mount ironhide\DVD. After adding source all videos (ISO files) are visible, but I can't play any. Selecting one results in XBMC sounds (clicking and stuff) no longer working. Tried on a couple ISOs that work on my Xbox-based T3CH XBMC box. 3) Browse over to Audio - add source same as above, only \\ironhide\audio this time - Try to open Audio share, crash back to Mac OS X. XBMC log at http://pastebin.com/m2fc44507 - renegade - 2008-03-02 Yes, I have noticed when adding shoutcast share it crashes XBMC also. Getting logs now.... Will post shortly - renegade - 2008-03-02 XBMC-Dump - elan - 2008-03-02 renegade Wrote:XBMC-Dump I've seen some crashes *playing* Shoutcast streams. That looks like what we're seeing here. I looked into it and there's some kind of memory corruption or other devious behavior, but it wasn't obvious. -elan - renegade - 2008-03-02 elan Wrote:I've seen some crashes *playing* Shoutcast streams. It does not occur when adding it. I can select the share, then go to any random stream, it will begin to buffer, then act as if it will play, then XBMC just dumps. The stream I select is irrelevant, it happens every time. It is interesting though, it has only happened since 1.4. Prior to that I hadnt had any problem. I will say that I dont think I have used it on every version so i cannot be 100% that its only 1.4. In any case now, using shoutcast at all is impossible(for me). |
