Gutsy PPA problem - evilhomeruk - 2008-03-31 I've had a pop at installing via the package manager and everything 'installed' bar python-sqlite, which I guess is fundamental if I want to have a media library From the install: Setting up python-sqlite (1.0.1-7) ... 'import site' failed; use -v for traceback I'm using Ubuntu Server 7.10 Gutsy Gibbon. I've done it remotely so I haven't got home and tested booting up XBMC, so it might be irrelevant. Anyone else had the same problem? - althekiller - 2008-03-31 Python has nothing to do with the media library. Spiff wouldn't waste his time like that. I honestly don't know what would use ps-sqlite, barring a few scripts. You probably don't NEED it. - evilhomeruk - 2008-04-01 Thanks althekiller, you were right. I didn't need it. It all ran beautifully even on my PC - which is one that work were going to put in a skip (very basic on-board gfx). Obviously it wasn't going to be able to run HD movies and such, but as a like-for-like with the original Xbox version it was as good as, if not better. |
