Hi there,
running XBMClive V2 - 2008-04-28 on USB stick , booted fine first time. but I have the audio/video highspeed problem. searched around and found it to be a audio device issue. At the moment "default" audio device is what is giving me the highspeed.
I also have XBMC 2008-05-18 on Hardy, and set my default audio device to my SBLive card.In XBMC then "default" as the audio device. Within Hardy sound and video work perfectly with this setup.
What I need to know how to do I think is set my default audio device in XBMCLive to my SBlive card, but am not sure how to go about this? Can anyone help?

You mean like when the computer boots up you can select Ubuntu and XBMC?

Im looking to build xbmc on via epia 600mhz also as a frontend to mythtv system in place. Has anyone has this running on similar hardware. Minimyth frontend runs fine however be nice to have the other features of xbmc

hm i do'nt think its powerfull enough, for divx you need atleast like (intel p3) 800mhz atleast, that was on a windows machine.. don't know about xbmc for epia 600mhz..
seeing as xbmc is a 'fat' client and not a 'light' one..

hi, i just downloaded the files fron sofrge today and have been trying to install on usb for hours now. the same error keeps showing when i try to boot from usb: fatal server error: no screens found... help please. i've tried using winimage to extract the xorg.conf from the restrictedDrivers.img file and putting it in the usb root directory. but it still gives the same error.. i have an intel 946Gz express chipset
please help as i really want to get xbmc running and even try the AEON skin

i also downloaded the xbmc.12869.img file and even when i renamed it to xbmc.img and placed in the usb root, the same error kept showing (fatal server error: no screens found)

Sorry, I'm a bit lost with this. Maybe it has been asked but I couldn't find a clear answer. It is a live image bootable on USB, but can it be installed on the HDD and run as a standard distrib ?

Go to the command prompt by pressing Ctrl+Alt+F2 then...Xbmc....password....when you're logged in type: to enable FTP...then download WinSCP on your other pc, and just type in your IP Address, don't worry about the port. Then you're in your xbmc's file system...cool stuff
