Ok, manually installing the USB Device as a Microsoft Infrared HID Device worked great. The new drivers also install a keybord (ie, something is new on this install). Appears to be working on my HTPC.

Setup install Remotexbmc1.5 - Stable Version For Xbmc : download here
Remote control for xbmc pc : REMOTE XBMC 1.5 drivers include + news Keymap.xml.
For the original remote control xbox change USB + xbmc pc rev 13239 or 12882. version 1.5

- Connect your ir in USB
- install the drivers and restart
- insert the keymap.xml in the folder USERDATA and run the REMOTE XBMC 1.5

Windows 98/Me,Windows 2000/XP for vista I do not think.

So you mean, if I place the HTPC on a hibernate or sleep mode, I can press a button on the remote and it will "wake" the HTPC up?

yes but we have created the fonction because it does not exist at the moment

I don´t believe that it possible, because it´s a hardware thing, not a software. Bacause the remote reciever must have ACPI Support, and that´s in the flashrom from the reciever.
