Nook...4x3 IS on the list of things to do. Obviously you will appreciate that there is only so much we can do at one time, so the intention is to release for 720 and 16x9 SD. Once released and we get general feedback, then we are going to attempt to get this rocking in 4x3 also.

Livin Wrote:Doesn't XBMC autoscale so 16x9 screens work on 4:3 TVs... it may look a bit different but it should work. Just as when PM3 was 4:3 only and worked fine on 16:9 screens.

I'm going to quote myself since no one mentioned this.

YES or NO?

Nothing to do with this skin, but the answer is ofcourse yes. Mediastream works out of the box on 4:3 screenmodes, just as every other skin does.

It may simply not look as pretty.

Thank you. That is my point, may are complaining about a skin that A) is not released B) can be used on 4x3 since XBMC supports auto-scaling

Why not let the team release the skin before you start asking for adds/changes?

I think if the skin requires time off work to set up the I would be very disappointed Laugh

- MikeBeecham - 2008-08-05

Gosh...I really hope that people are not disappointed with the end result. There are a lot of "I hope this" and "cant wait for that". I would hate for you guys to get it and go "Is this IT?...is this what we've waited for...it's CRAP"

Sad

- ewequeone - 2008-08-05

Mike, I'm looking forward to seeing the results from the amount of time / work you guys have spent on this. If it suits my needs, I'll use it, if not, I won't.

At the end of the day, no matter what anyone says, you guys should be proud of what you have achieved as a team.

Jason.

- MikeBeecham - 2008-08-05

Cheers Jason...we are immenseley proud of it. But any set of proud parents, when sending thier kids to school hopes that they'll make friends and are liked by the others!!

I guess it's a "suck it and see" thing!

Yes, as I said before as well; No matter what certain opinions might be, you have done a great job and the open source community would be nothing without commited people like you.

haha, well depends how nice it handles squished to 4:3 (initially) - i won't be able to help myself but tweak it. this skin pretty much the decider between plex/boxee for me and quite a few others atm - been drooling over it since the initial fluid screenshots.

plus a nice skin is a good excuse to reorganise the library and track down some nice coverart too, and it's motivated me to finally finish my new mediadb Nod

can't wait...

- Geeba - 2008-08-05

Looking forward to it Mike and I'm sure it will be fine!

I'm just hoping the humble Xbox can run it smoothly! Wink

- MikeBeecham - 2008-08-05

It should be able to Geeba...I have a version 1.0 box and it's pretty much as smooth as you want it to be on there.
