RE: "iPlayer WWW" add-on - CaptainT - 2021-03-13

Beta 4 for Matrix is available on GitHub. This update brings back Radio A-Z. It has not been tested extensively, so Radio users are invited to try and report any issues.

Thanks for the update, the improvements seem to work.  I tried to tweak some inputstream.adaptive parameters, but sadly Radio 1 Live crashes Kodi. Your work is appreciated

Thank you, What about red button streams ?

RE: "iPlayer WWW" add-on - CaptainT - 2021-03-14

Beta5 is available on GitHub and brings back Radio Search. Unfortunately, there is no way to determine if these programmes are available or not. So if you search for a term, some of the results may play, and others may not. I am considering to add a dedicated error message just for that.

Thanks for the feedback.  I am aware of this issue, which is caused by inputstream.adaptive as far as I can see. Let's hope they get that sorted out soon.

No luck on that end, I am afraid. They will remain broken for the time being. In fact, I consider removing them for now.

Thanks for all the work you do CaptainT.

How do I go about installing the beta from GitHub? Is there a way to point Kodi to download the zip straight from there and install it directly?

Also, is there any chance of you making an ITV add-on on in the future? Kodi 19 made the old add-on by LittleWiz stop working and I miss that and your iPlayer the most.

Just follow the link posted above, download the zip file from GitHub, and install it manually in Kodi. Go to settings, add-ons, install from zip file to do that. There is no way to add tho as a repository in Kodi directly. However, once the first release hits the official Kodi repo, it should auto-update.

I am sorry, but I barely find the time to keep this add-on up and running. For example, Radio was broken for months now. So I will not start another add-on on top of that.

I hadn’t realised ITV had gone. I have it on an old 17.6 fork but it still won’t populate. Any news from Littlewiz or is there a separate thread on this forum ?
Thanks

UPDATE The ‘shows’ section is still working and is up to date. Live tv has been down for a while

Thanks CaptainT !! great plugin

RE: "iPlayer WWW" add-on - CaptainT - 2021-03-21

4.0.0 has just been merged to the official Matrix add-on repo.
  • Everyone who currently uses a beta should see an automatic update over the next days. In case you don't, or if you experience any issues with the update, please uninstall the add-on completely, and then reinstall from the official repo.
  • Everyone who upgrades from Leia to Matrix from now on should see no more ill effects, the add-on should auto-update.

I will also push an update to Krypton bringing back Radio in Leia and Krypton. This will take another couple of days.

Any reason that I suddenly cannot watch certain channels. It's telling me I need to be based in the UK. Which I am. I haven't moved or changed ISP's and have a UK IP address

If you really are in the UK, it could be that the bug in inputstream.adaptive that previously only affected BBC 2 now affects more channels. In this case the error message would be misleading.

RE: "iPlayer WWW" add-on - DarrenHill - 2021-03-27

I've just given it a quick try, and all I can play is BBC Parliament and BBC News Channel.

The others just say "loading" and then don't start, but don't give me any other message that I can see.

The log is here if it's any use (debug isn't enabled, if needed let me know and I can redo).

Matrix 19.0 under Win10 using the repo version of the addon.
