Have movies that scrapers cannot find info for? Use my NFO creator.. - m5a5l3m - 2008-07-30

Not sure if this is the right forum to post:

I have lot of movies in my collection that scrapers cannot find matches. The scrapers usually find an incorrect match and it was lot of manual effort to go add a movie to the collection.

So, I made this tool that automatically creates .nfos and .tbns for each movie that doesn't already have a .nfo and .tbn. This tools can also take your videoDB from XBMC and split it into individual movie .nfos. Further, if you have a folder.jpg in the movie folder, it will convert to a .tbn so XBMC can pick it up and scan it.

This tool is a command-line tool written in java and can be run on any platform.

Let me know if anyone wants to try it or need more info.

Since it is written in Java I like to ask/request the same think that I asked/requested billyad2000 when he first anoounced his XBMC Media Companion and his .nfo creator for Windows (XBMC-DB)

So any chance that you could recode this and submit it as a patch to MeD's Movie Manager?

...I for one would love it if MeD's Movie Manager was extended to support more XBMC features, also checkout:
