Jester, just out of curiosity, why is it that the program gets an update so much? Is it so unstable and do you recommend to update it everytime you bring out a new version?

nothing to do with that, I'm building these versions so people can TEST xbmc with the latest changes from the dev's before an official version comes out, this also aids in tracking down bugs. so in short, I'm just keeping in pace with whatever the dev's are doing

thanks for your reply. But when I want to use an external player like MPC-HC your version (-ext) is the only one that fits for this right?

No. Even kricker's version without the Intel patch works fine. External Player is in SVN, but the Intel patch impairs its functionality (and, frankly, I disagree with wanting to keeping it when it's creating problems... disable it until there's a working solution, I don't see why SVN has to be burdened with a problem generating element... this is OT, sorry).

wrong and wrong

only PART of the external player is in the SVN, and it doesn't work properly, thats why we are working on a update to put in to the SVN, and the patch we are working on is in my version only untill it gets moved into the SVN, as for the intel patch, we are working on a proper solution for this, please remember that you are working with bleeding edge dev stuff here and not an official release so there bound to be issues...

Remove the -p parameter from your shortcut. They reversed the behavior of that parameter a few days ago. -p now means "portable".

- ashlar - 2009-02-04

Jester, I suggest putting the -p thing in bold on your build repository.
