DVD:
Yeah 0.92 with the latest xbmc (Atlantis). I'm using the "default" settings, not the "richer" ones.
Project Mayhem plays DVD just fine (although the HD version tends to get stuck playing the DVD in the HUD, rather than full screen).

WEATHER:
Hmmm. It's a shame it can't be hidden... mainly because I can't seem to get my local city programmed in anymore (this is not just for MediaStream. I think it's xbmc to blame)

OSD:
Found it. Cheers.

Thanks for getting back so quick. Any suggestions as to how to better test this DVD issue? I use DVD almost as much as streaming from my computer. I'd really like to get it working with this gorgeous skin.

That's a XBMC issue, not a skin one. Are you using the most up to date build of XBMC?

Not sure, I'll have a look when I get a chance but I have to say I don't think I've ever played a DVD via the Xbox so if someone else has any ideas I'd be glad to hear them. Nod

The old "Region X" DVD software for xbox was pretty bad, but the new DVD player software in xbmc is really very usable. It has occasional interlacing issues, but the options in the picture menu tends to fix them, although it often takes a bit of trial and error.

I'd actually recommend it over the majority of DVD players these days. Clearly, stuff like Oppo kills it, but otherwise it holds it's own fairly solidly.

FourTwentySmilz: The good sir above was making a comment as to the content of the image you posted - namely the genre of the music that was being played at the time.

'twas a joke - laugh Smile

- /.ryd - 2008-09-23

Okay, I've been playing with various DVDs and I can't seem to repeat the problem.
Whereas last night xbmc would hang, crash or simply not do anything when asked to play a DVD, tonight it is autoloading DVDs as soon as I put them in.

Very strange. I'll post again if I encounter the issue again.

Cool, that's the best type of fix - by osmosis! Wink

prevent screen burning - loicbr - 2008-09-23

Hello,

First thank you for your work, the skin is really fantastic.

I was wondering if it's possible, while listening to music in visualization mode, to have the OSD moving slowly from the left to the right of the screen, to prevent burning ?

In fact, I often put the OSD on a black screen without visualization, and the vertical white line is burning my TV. It's only temporary because it's a LCD but I can clearly see it.

Anyway, I don't know if it's an issue for other people.

Thank you and sorry for my english (i'm french).

- Hitcher - 2008-09-23

Unless you actually press 'Info' the OSD will disappear after a few seconds to prevent burn in.

- loicbr - 2008-09-24

Yes but if i want to keep the information on the screen ?
