Offload to GPU in the future? - alienagenda - 2008-10-30
i realize the current XBMC for Windows is in Beta, however, I was curious if the development team is considering the GPU vs. the CPU for video decoding?
given i know less than zero about the development of XBMC, but i do know the mid range video cards for $80 can decode 1080 material without a hiccup using a single core 1.5Ghz processor. or maybe simply offload the video playback to a different player that does use the GPU?
i freely admit i dont know what i dont know, just curious as it seems such a limitation.
