Wiki-to-Doc - LiteraryFool - 2008-11-15

I have created a document version of the Wiki online help for free download. I have tried to maintain the look-and-feel of the original wiki. It is almost complete and up-todate, as of this date. Not sure whether to post this request in this area or elsewhere. I hope I have not offended all contributors to the wiki, I simply wish to make an alternative version available for off-line viewing. May I post the link here for this file?

Thanks.

Don't see why not.

OK guys, here's version 0.001 of your online wiki converted to an a compiled doc, actually a compiled Treepad doc. Will work on other formats if requested. Will update as I get more information incorporated into it... Currently looking ahead to include info from the forums themselves.

Download the file at http://literaryfool.bravehost.com

Happy reading.

Version 0.03 of my compiled Treepad doc, the former XBMC online wiki manual, is now available from my website, listed above. Still incomplete, I am however, nearing completion of all the material. Linking between pages is going to be the next biggest hurdle. Stay tuned.

Wiki-to-Treepad doc v0.04 - LiteraryFool - 2008-12-11

An update is available, v0.04, from my website, http://literaryfool.bravehost.com/

As it is now over 40Mb, I have spanned it over 5 files using 7-Zip.

Enjoy.

Any reason this can't be released in a more portable format like PDF?

- LiteraryFool - 2008-12-13

That is my intention, to release it eventually in PDF. I use treepad to gather the material first and then span to different formats from there. It's just a slow process... sorry.

Every format has to be hand re-formatted, for links, etc., as they do not always carry over well.

I'll keep you posted.
