XBMC on Mac Mini seems to hang after a while - kent - 2008-12-30
Hello,
I'm new to XBMC and to MACs but do know my way around Linux, Windows, and PC's so I do know something about computers.
Anyway,
I leave my mac mini running all the time and it worked great in September when I first installed XBMC but I don't remember the version but it was an alpha. I did have trouble playing some movies and upgraded it in October. I was able to play additional movies fine but it seems to hang sometimes just after a few hours of being idle. The video is still because the RSS feed that scrolls across the bottom is stuck. If I press any button, the video will turn reddish and dim, beeps will be heard but nothing happens. Sometimes the END key will exit XBMC but often I have to kill the process or reboot. I enabled debug output in the advancedsettings.xml but am not sure where the log is written. I upgraded again with the latest 8.10 bf1:ATLANTIS Compiled 12/18/2008 but still have the same issue.
Any thoughts on what is causing this hang?
