Fade screen on play (skinning option to fade out GUI and fade in video, or either or) - djh_ - 2009-01-18 Just a little detail that goes a long way: fading the screen to black before a video plays or a game launches or whatever. Microsoft's NXE does it and it's just a nice bit of polish. Any chance of an option like this in XBMC? It'd be important, though, for the fade to complete smoothly before the video starts. - chrisdaniels - 2009-01-24 I agree, this would be a nice bit of polish. - jmarshall - 2009-01-24 Currently all animations are disabled when going to the fullscreen video window. I can't remember exactly why, but there was a reason for it. I suspect it's because rendering context may change between player and app (though this is something that's not so applicable anymore). If you'd like to play around, in GUIWindow.cpp there'll be a check in OnDeinitWindow (or maybe in OnMessage) for the fullscreen window - remove it and build. Cheers, Jonathan |
