Keeps asking for my password - thesaint - 2009-02-08 Hi Guys, I have XBMC running on my Apple TV which is part of a wireless network along with my Macbook and my desktop PC. Everything is fine, I have my Macbook as a source where I can access my videos, music and pictures. However, everytime I click on Macbook, it asks for my Username and password. Is there anyway to enter the username and password once and save it ? It gets quite annoying... Thanks for the help! - S80_UK - 2009-02-08 If I recall correctly - Settings - Network - SMB client... You can then enter a user name and password which are stored for your profile (or for the master profile if not using profiles). Works fine for me. - toshiba1 - 2009-02-09 you can access xbmc via the web browser interface (http://appletv.local:8080) then you can click 'Config' and add new sources and embed username/password quite easily, for example type something like this in when you add a new source via the web interface: smb://myuser:mypassword@servername/folder1/Movies/ |
