- Petr - 2009-08-25 Hello, thanks to Mirak for the packages. I have little problem. I have Ubuntu Server 9.04 with already installed VDR 1.6 from the Ubuntu repo. When I try to upgrade VDR from Mirak's repo, then it fails due unmet dependencies: Code: The following packages have unmet dependencies: Does someone run in this as well? Thanks. - apanloco - 2009-08-25 B b b b but VDR 1.7.4 is required. I think you need to uninstall VDR 1.6 first, and then follow the guide on the first page. - Petr - 2009-08-25 apanloco Wrote:B b b b but VDR 1.7.4 is required. I think you need to uninstall VDR 1.6 first, and then follow the guide on the first page. I can try it, but I don't think that this is connected. It should be possible to just upgrade. The error is about unmet dependency and IMHO this will be still there after uninstalling the older version. - afmed - 2009-08-25 try using aptitude instead of apt-get to install the upgrade, it is better at resolving dependencies. - Petr - 2009-08-25 afmed Wrote:try using aptitude instead of apt-get to install the upgrade, it is better at resolving dependencies. I tried aptitude and it doesn't help. Even when I removed the current version of VDR, then it doesn't help. I have also tried the force install, but without a success. I have tried to install new instance of ubuntu server in VirtualBox and install the VDR server from Mirak's repo and it works. So something wrong on my server. I will try to reinstall the server at all. Thanks for your suggestions. - mitsus - 2009-08-27 Hi, this is my first post, but i'm looking this forum for about 5 months. I'm able to install on my new HTPC XBMC + VDR + VDPAU and i'm able to see LIVE TV from default XBMC skin, but i want to install my prefered skin: MEDIASTREAM. I've install it, but i'm not able to see LIVE TV. I've read all about TV SHOW Library, but i'm interest to see Live TV from VDR plugin. Can someone explain to me the correctly steps? Regards - alcoheca - 2009-08-27 mitsus Wrote:Hi, For now, the default skin (PM3.HD) is the only one that supports the PVR frontend. - gerner - 2009-08-28 Is anyone else experiencing crashing when pressing channel up or down in fullscreen TV mode? It happens for me only on a couple of channels (TV6 and 7 in NZ) . I've debugged this but i couldn't get to the bottom of it. Oddly, if I make the channel change through selecting the channel in the pop up channel select list it works fine. - mmaura - 2009-08-28 Hi, @Mirak Tanks to mirak for his ppa.
Some one know What is the Portal button on xbmc OSD ? I have installed Mirak XBMC + Mirak VDR + (postfix, fetchmail, apache2, and some other services) on Zotac Ion Mother Board 4Go of Crossair SSD Patriot Hard drive external drive for big data (1To Seagate) now connected by US2, but i wait my E-SATA connector. hauppauge WinTV-Nova-T-HD On Jaunty 64bits this work verry fine !, for sure xbmc crash sometime (normal for this version). Next step i add a second usb tnt stick and try recording and watching TV at same time. - mitsus - 2009-08-28 alcoheca Wrote:For now, the default skin (PM3.HD) is the only one that supports the PVR frontend. Thx alcoheca for your answer. Regards - mmaura - 2009-08-28 I answer to myself : to build plugin, do (with Merak repo actived) Code: sudo apt-get build-dep vdr-plugin-live - Kismukk - 2009-08-28 Hi, I compiled everything using the tutorial. Almost everything works perfect. I can watch tv channels inside xbmc. But on two channels I only have picture, no audio. Some line from my xbmc debug log: Quote:21:11:19 T:2984614800 M:1576144896 NOTICE: Opening video stream: 0 source: 256 Can someone help me to make it work? As I know these channels using MPEG4/AVC for audio! - Swifty - 2009-08-29 Can anyone tell me what the convention for TV Channel Icons is ? I've managed to get timeline view working after compiling the latest SVN and have set the Channel Icons folder in the settings screen but it doesn't seem to be picking them up.. So far I've tried PNG, JPG, GIF with the file names set as channel display name (eg 'BBC ONE.png') and also channel number (eg '1.png') Am I missing something ? Also my timeline view doesn't seem to be colour coded like in the screenshots I've seen, but I'm not that bothered about that.. - Petr - 2009-09-04 I'm also interested in the icons formate for the timeline. I have also problem with playing the recordings. The ts streams from the vdr server are played as an audio streams, which means that I don't see any picture and hear same strange noises. When I copy the ts file to the local, then I can play the ts file in xbmc without any problem. Does someone run in the same problem? - Swifty - 2009-09-11 Just compiled the latest SVN on pvrtesting and still can't figure out how to get the channel icons showing. Also noticed that the times for the guide (across the top of the timeline) are shown in the screenshots in 1st post but I don't have those either... Anyone have any ideas, is this just a skin problem or have the functions temporarily taken out or something ?? |
