Thank you!
I'm doing the same, but my epg listing is slower than yours, maybe i've much more channels ...

Uh by the way, do you know if is it possible to change channel number? My paytv provider has his own numeration and i would follow his channels numbering.

Thanks

@dubstar_04

fine to hear this. But could you clarify please which pvr2, vdr, streamdev revision are you using ? which patches ?

hi,

everything seems to be running fine, but i can't find the TV option anywhere in XBMC?
card is installed succesfull, firmware is OK, I scanned channels, installed VDR with streamdev plugin, install the PMH3D skin, but no succes....

do i need a special build of xbmc? i'm running the latest version..

thnx for any help

@mofd:
you should use pvr-testing2 branch (from svn) and enable pvr plugin from settings -> tv

i found this: http://trac.xbmc.org/browser/branches/pvr-testing2/README.ubuntu

thnx, i give it a try!

the readme file seems not to up upadted.

you have to use pvr-testing2 branche.

you should go with:

Code:
svn co http://xbmc.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/xbmc/branches/pvr-testing2

and it's better to use libmms 0.5 version with some patch from spiff

extensionpatch for vdr 1.7.11 released
http://copperhead.vdr-developer.org/downloads/extensionpatch/

According to these patches VDR 1.7.11 is going to be required going forward:

http://trac.xbmc.org/changeset/26946/branches/pvr-testing2/xbmc

http://trac.xbmc.org/changeset/26948/branches/pvr-testing2/xbmc

Would it be possible for alwinus or alcoheca to give us an update on the progress with the pvr branch then we know what should work while testing?

Thanks,

Another Video - dubstar_04 - 2010-01-19

Heres another video of the pvr testing branch:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8JrnC4EinU

The first part of the video is a brief look at the installation of VDR, recorded on ubuntu and the second part looks at setting up a remote frontend, recorded on a mac.

Note:
The second part of the video is cropped due to size difference to the first video.
The menus are also flickery, this is a limitation with the screen recording.

The videos are just meant to give people a taste of xbmc pvr branch and are not full tutorials.

@dubstar_04: Very nice video, good work! I'm impressed you invested the time to do this. Thx!

No problem. i'm willing to help in anyway i can.

I've just built VDR 1.7.11 and it it is trying to find the streamdevhosts.conf file in my home directory.

vdr: error while reading './streamdevhosts.conf'

If i move the file there everything works as expected.

Is there a way to specify the location of this file?

all the other config files are read from /etc/vdr/

my Make.config is as follows:

LOCDIR = /usr/lib/locale
PLUGINDIR= ./PLUGINS
PLUGINLIBDIR= /usr/lib/vdr/plugins
VIDEODIR = /media/media/vdr
CONFDIR = /etc/vdr
