Full screen 1080p offset 50% - Linoobius - 2009-03-12

Hello, this is not specifically an xbmc issue as Boxee exhibits the same behavior but I was hoping someone here could help. I am running Kubuntu Intrepid through HDMI on a 42" LCD, the system resolution is set at 1920x1080 through the Nvidia control panel with refresh set to Auto and the desktop appears fine. MythTV functions fine in fullscreen mode. Boxee and xbmc (when set to 1920x1080 fullscreen) both appear with only half of the screen visible and offset to the right 50% i.e. the left edge of the xbmc screen is right in the middle of my lcd and the right half of the xbmc screen is not visible off the right edge of the lcd. When I exit the application, the desktop returns to normal, filling the screen edge to edge as it should.

**Edit**
Possibly helpful information I should have included...
When this occurs, the entire left half of the screen is black and the mouse cursor stops at the center of the screen. Xbox360 connected via HDMI in 1080p works perfectly

OS ver - Kubuntu Intrepid 8.10
xbmc ver - xbmc 8.10final1-Intrepid5
Video card - MSI N94GT-MD512 GeForce 9400 GT 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16
Display - Vizio VW42LF

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thank you,
Steve
