Btw- whenever you feel like it... i have some thoughts on the picture/slideshow part of xbmc. I know you prolly dont think of that right now but when the time comes...
The picture slideshow part of xbmchas regretfully been kept back skin/feature wise for a long time. I use
the picture browser alott to show pictures to familly and friends when they visit. Would be really nice to see some new fresh stuff also in this section.
But then again maybe im just one of the few peeps who is using this function ?

PS! i would gladly help out coding some new stuff up, as i've been looking into possible functions lately...

At this moment, i don't use it that often. But, i really WANT to use it a lot. Viewing family photos, holiday photos and anything else like that on the HTPC would be great for the members of my family who aren't tech savvy...So browsing and choosing should be easy and inuitive.
So +1 from me on the pictures/photos section of this. I don't know whether this sort of stuff has to be accomplished in XBMC, though, rather than Aeon skin? I'm guessing XBMC first.

There has been some discussion on adding a function to xbmc itself to read
image tags and exif info and scan them to a sql database. Much the same as for music and video.

However progress hasn't been going along fast due to noe big interest from potential developers. so if there are any developers who feel like implementing such features please do so
With a database it would bring totally new features to the pictures section and skinners has alott more room to create something cool.

Awww!!! That is just gorgeous djh! I can not stress enough how lucky we all are to have you here. I remember not to long ago when I was on a Vista Media Center forum and everyone was talking about this "Aeon" thing...well needless to say I was intrigued and have never looked back since! Really, thanks so much for making my media center look so so fly.
