Yes I noticed that iplayer seems to be broken under Frodo RC1. Was beginning to think it was just me. Can't access settings either from the Video menu.
Edit: I should add this is on Ubuntu Quantal bare minimum OS with no desktop manager.
Edit: I now have Frodo RC1 running on Ubuntu Precise where the iplayer plugin works perfectly so for me this is likely not an xbmc/iplayer problem.
Edit: As I don't believe this is an iplayer problem I've posted my log on another thread. Have it working through the Music menu but not the Video menu or a thumbnail.

iplayer2 is working perfectly for me. windows xp, frodo rc1 fresh clean install. all settings still on their defaults (except my maximum video quality reduced to 720p).

It appears to me that the plugin selects the low quality streams for live radio (in direct comparison to the browser stream).
Is there any way to change that behaviour? Switching the codec in the settings did not help.

I can access the settings and browse but the stream crashes fro do rc1, 2 and any nightly build.

Live streams no longer working for me on ATV2 or iPad. Am still on Eden. Anyone know the reason for sudden stop of ability to stream or any advice on a fix? (Was away Dec 17-29 so not sure when change happened.) Thanks

live streaming broken on xbox also. not a total disaster because TVcatchup can do, but quality was better with iplayer.
normal (nonlive) content seems ok?
edit: confirming onDemand content working perfectly on xbox, tested using 1500k stream from Limelight.
TVcatchup also working well using 1.4.6 from here http://plugins.tvcatchup.com/~xbmc/addons/plugin.video.tvcatchup/

Hi,
XBMC Frodo RC3 is installed to Windows 8 64 bit - see notice section in XBMC log extract below. XBMC is working fine, skin is Confluence
I have installed the iPlayer addon via the XBMC repo hitcher following the instructions in this Youtube video

Install went fine but when I select an item to play it shows a progress bar briefly - iplayer 80% - sometimes a brief still shot, and then the player closes and returns me to the item selection menu
I subsequently installed the itvplayer addon and the same thing happens. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both addons to no avail. I have also shutdown the firewall on the XBMC PC. iPlayer from a web browser outside XBMC on the same PC works fine
as does ITV Player. The iPlayer addon settings are at default, although I did try both rtmp port 1935 and port 80 settings - again with no luck. Finally I ran XBMC as Administrator, but the results were the same.
All the error lines from the debug log are included below. I am unsure if the deprecation messages are significant?
ERROR: Playlist Player: skipping unplayable item: 0, path [plugin://plugin.video.iplayer/?pid=b01n9wkh] would seem to be the heart of the matter, but I need an expert to help me work around the smoke and mirrors...
Happy to provide any other material or test results.
