Windows 7, XBMC 10.1 - exobuzz - 2011-04-19 nggrant Wrote:I did you upgrade xbmc to git version? http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-iplayerv2/issues/detail?id=42&colspec=ID%20Type%20Status%20Priority%20Owner%20Summary I can fix this, just need some spare mins, but I was hoping they would finalise the "instructions" for me so I don't have to change things twice - nggrant - 2011-04-19 XBMC version taken from XBMC: XBMC PRE-11.0 Git:Unknown (Compiled : Apr 14 2011) As far as I can remember (age is a terrible thing), I just downloaded XBMC from the Ubuntu Software Centre: XBMC Media Center (arch-independent data package) 2:11.0-pvr+odk22~git20110415.248d3f1-0ubuntu1~ppa+odk22~maverick (xbmc) Add-ons: Qt3 bindings for Python XBMC Media Center (binary data package) 2:11.0-pvr+odk22~git20110415.248d3f1-0ubuntu1~ppa+odk22~maverick (xbmc-bin) As I said, I'm new to Ubuntu & XBMC, but it looks like the Ubuntu Software Centre may be referencing a development Git build of XBMC, rather than a stable load. I can do without iPlayer for a while, so I'll probably just wait for you to update the plug-in, once things become more stable, or I might try reverting to an earlier (stable) load of XBMC. On a related point, is there any particular reason the iPlayerv2 plug-in has to be installed by hand (easy enough), rather than accessing it under the "Get More..." section of XBMC. Thanks for your help and support on this, it is much appreciated. - exobuzz - 2011-04-20 nggrant Wrote:On a related point, is there any particular reason the iPlayerv2 plug-in has to be installed by hand (easy enough), rather than accessing it under the "Get More..." section of XBMC. I've not yet submitted it for inclusion in the official repos, but hitcher kindly maintains it on his, so if you add his repository you can then keep it up to date automatically. - Hitcher - 2011-04-20 See below. v2.4.9 released - exobuzz - 2011-04-21 v2.4.9 is released. Main change is compatibility with latest git builds. tested on xbmc4xbox, xbmc dharma 10.0, and a git build from a few days ago. 2.4.9 * compatibility with xbmc git releases post internal python removal - getcwd no longer returns the path of the running script * removed addon compatibility code for xbmc4xbox (no longer needed since we have an addon compatibility module shipped with xbmc4xbox) * misc clean-ups download from http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-iplayerv2/downloads/list or wait until hitcher has updated his repo. - Hitcher - 2011-04-21 Done, cheers exobuzz. - StealMySoda - 2011-04-21 Works great, thanks - Rocky5 - 2011-04-22 This new version is still stopping playback at random times, on my setup. XBMC 10.1 Log - Cyberkid2002 - 2011-04-22 Im running a nightly from a few days back (4-5ish) and updated to the latest iplayer version from Hitchers repo and still getting errors when loading clicking on a channel. - exobuzz - 2011-04-22 Cyberkid2002 Wrote:Im running a nightly from a few days back (4-5ish) and updated to the latest iplayer version from Hitchers repo and still getting errors when loading clicking on a channel. I send the url to xbmc to play (using librtmp to talk to the server). this could be a networking issue, or something else. perhaps try another stream provider. - Cyberkid2002 - 2011-04-23 exobuzz Wrote:Debug log please. I cant see specific information regarding your version/platform and so on, plus other info I might need. - Chalex4 - 2011-04-25 Hey, Got pretty excited about this addon earlier today when I saw it existed! Installed it successfully on my Apple TV 2 running XBMC but had no luck in actually streaming anything. I'm obviously based in the UK, but when I clicked TV > Popular and selected a Doctor who episode it started to load, but then always quit within about 2 seconds of playing. Sometimes the video started streaming, sometimes it just didn't load at all. The same thing happened on every video I tried. I played around a lot with the settings as well, but that didn't help. Nothing seemed to make it better. Also had a go at streaming some of the live tv, but when I clicked a channel nothing seemed to happen. Is this feature implemented yet? Anyway, created a debug log file like you asked . Hope it helps you get to the bottom of this as it would be an amazing feature to have. Just in case you're wondering, I've replaced some passwords with *HIDDEN*. It can be found here: http://pastebin.com/rSBcSCpn Thanks! |
