Me either Confused

I've got a simple plugin back up for Windows and Linux versions, but I'm still working on the XboX side of things. We hit a little setback the other day which I'm not going to get into in the forums but I'm trying to get things back on track. If you look in the XBMC thread over at TVC all the details about the plugin are there.

Hi there. I've just discovered TV Catchup and the plugin for it for XBMC and I've been trying to get it working.

I'm running the XBMC Live version installed from a Bootable USB, and was wondering if there's any pointers on getting the TVCatchup plugin working? From reading some previous posts, there was talk of needing a browser to pass page requests through from the plugin to TVC. Is this the case, so do I need to install a browser using apt-get?

DJ Gerbil, did you get a solution worked out with the TVC people for their security issues?

Any suggestions welcome.

Cheers,
Paul

At the moment you do need a web browser to use it yes. As for the security issues, I don't want to get peoples hopes up, but I'm quietly optimistic that a solution may be here soon.

Would be nice - graven - 2010-01-07

Ah, I've been using XBMC for a while but missed out on this one (while it worked) - shame, would love to see it again.

There is the web solution as a temporary fix, and I'm working very hard on going back to one that uses XBMC's built in flash player. I hope to have something out very soon.

Hey guys. For anyone who's interested we've got a new home for the XBMC plugin. You can find it here Have a look, tell me what you think. P.S. it's still using an external web browser at the moment, but I'm working on the API code as we speak.

Hi there can't seem to get the plugin to work. Using xbmc(live) had the same problem with beta2 at latest svn. When I select a channel to watch it starts to load but nothing starts. I've tried all the versions on the new site all with the same result.

Yea sorry, my bad should have explained that to make it work on Live, you have to install Firefox first. If you pop over to the TVC forums someone has put together a howto for just such an occasion.
