After replying yesterday I found that the Idle scanning trick doesn't seem to work any more. I have 2 tuners stuck on '2 Muxes to scan' now and can't get them to finish. I'm using SVN 5040

Can someone tell me how to get the latest Dharma code for Linux, I would like to do some testing. IE A link to the svn URL for the branch.

It's a shame the nightly builds are only done for Windoze/OS X ..Shocked

I've tried the same thing but to no avail unfortunately.

I'm going to have a bit more of a play with TvHeadend at the weekend when I have some more time and then raise a raise a suggestion for the developer.

I'm still curious as to whether the to write the full mux to disk will effectively cache the details of the mux, this getting around the need for them all to be scanned at startup. Trouble is, when you enable that setting it mentions that it can take up a lot of disc space and don't think there is a way for me to configure the location of the output and I don't want to fill my main disc.

I'd be curious to know what the benefit of having that option ticked is.

So apparently we won't have the PVR addon in Dharma Sad. How easy will it be Gujs to create a build of Dharma including the PVR addon for TVHeadend? Really waiting for that one.

is anyone using mc2xml for their xmltv and if so do they have instructions on how to set it up with tvheadend?

http://mc2xml.110mb.com/

moontan77 - try this tv-grab-file I've been planning to try it for mc2xml but not got round to it yet.

I botched together a solution a few months ago and used it with Mythtv - I took a simple existing grabber and hacked it to read the file downloaded by mc2xml (via cron) the used it from the myth database filler. Worked fine, but then I switched to tvheadend

thanks i'll try and check it out

I'm getting confused. The roadmap for Dharma shows:
Live Specific:

* Base XBMC Live on a stripped Ubuntu Desktop 10.04 (Lucid Lynx) Linux Distribution
* Added support for GRUB 2 based images
* Include the HTS Tvheadend PVR backend client by default

Does anyone what this means? Will we have the PVR client in Dharma for TVHeadend, but not for any other systems?

anyone find a solution for epg in xbmc being an hour ahead?

was fine before i reinstalled ubuntu again on tvheadend pc

I think "Backend" means the main server program of hts-tvheadend, not the Add-on.

Hi, what version "pvr-testing2" /linux/ is last good and STABLE ?, i need only working channel switch with ch.up/down (+1/-1) and direct switch with channel number, i try 30871/30781/30049... and all crashes from 5min to x hours, no channel switch, nothing...into same time i have running svn xbmc (trunk) into windows and it works stable, but no pvr=no direct switch with channel number...

thanks

edit: xbmc pvr+tvheadend

It does say "backend client". That is not a server...
