Add-on UpdateVersion 0.3.6
fix error when selecting "All" catagory with XBMC-Frodo

Download and install as zip -> http://divingmules-repo.googlecode.com/files/plugin.video.jtv.archives-0.3.6.zip
Or via my repository.

@ahulkster, thanks for the heads-up.

@lisawa, I think* the frodo builds will have a compatible librtmp.

RE: [RELEASE] Justin.tv (Video) Plugin Codec Issues - copterdr - 2012-12-16

Hello forum and DM. We had coverd this before but I am still chasing a fix.... First I want to mention that today I noticed that the plugin is not representing all the feeds on this site, maybe this has been mentiond before and sorry to duplicate if so.

The main reason for my post is somthing we had coverd this before but I am still chasing a fix.... Below is a post I made yesterday in the Windows General Help forum. Although it is a Codec Issue and I think is part of the build or compilation somewhere, this plug in is where the issue is "for me anyway" Thank you for your time to read and sorry if this is the wrong place.

Have a great day!

Regarding Xsplit and Speex Codec:

Firstly I am not technicly skilled enough to figure this out or do anything with what I have found, but after some investigation I have found that there is an issue (in my system at least) concerning audio streams that use the speex codec and xsplit. After some reasearch I have found that there is possibly a solution out there... I have read there is a Libspeex out there somewhere and also GSM and Speex support is avialable for ffmpeg in an extra repo (found on the ffmpeg forum).

That said, none of this may be needed as a whole for the community or possible to include in a build. Neither of which I am qualified to answer.

So my question is, Is there currently a patch avialable to get the speex codec working in xbmc, or is anyone with the know how willing to take on the challenge?

Thanks for your time!

RE: [RELEASE] Justin.tv (Video) Plugin - martin.flory - 2012-12-17

On frodo RC1 on ubuntu, it seems there is no hardware acceleration, video looks zommed in, and it crashes after a minute or so.

Do you think these are problems with the Release Candidate, or is there a config/library I should check/update?

RE: [RELEASE] Justin.tv (Video) Plugin - divingmule - 2012-12-17

Not sure, maybe http://pastebin.com your xbmc.log -> http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Log_file

@copterdr, I don't really have the know how either. In "theory" there should be a way.

RE: [RELEASE] Justin.tv (Video) Plugin - martin.flory - 2012-12-17

http://pastebin.com/u9C70sjg <- log with both xbmc and justintv plugin debuggin enabled. Tried a sd channel and didn't crash. Then tried another one and it did.

I think its because they cut the feed after x time to sell a premium account (happens to me in the web version). Still, probably should not crash xbmc, and its still zoomed in compared to the website.

Thanks, its a very cool plugin! Hope to be able to enjoy it more soon.

Thanks DM ! With my very limited knowledge, it seems that a version of ffmpeg would need to be compiled with the proper lib or somthing like that and incorporated into the audio portion of XMBC to allow speex audio streams to be transcoded or whatever the word is.

Maybe a stupid question, but a little help please....

What would be the proper forum to request incorporation of this?

Thanks for your help.

Hello Guys,

Sorry if I'm posting in the wrong section...

I have installed JTV plugin and it's working just fine on both xbmc windows and atv2, however, I've added the following
link to an xml file and play it in livestreams and it word beautifully on xbmc Windows BUT crashes every time I try to play it on ATV2!!!
Any idea/suggestion on how to fix this issue, as I don't know if it's plugin-related or atv2 OS-related or livestreams addon-relatedHuh

Thank you in advance!

It doesn't look like it's add-on related as far as I can tell, you have some script? or webserver? using JSONRPC spamming the log, making it hard to read. Maybe that could be part of the problemHuh

I haven't been able to reproduce the crash on my hardware. The add-on's debugging didn't seem to be enabled in your log, so I couldn't try the specific channel.

It maybe true, I have had xbmc crash sometimes when a channel goes of air. I don't think* there is anything I can do from the add-on, basically the add-on just resolves, and sends the playback url to the player.

Your log shows that you need a newer version of librtmp.
