if you disable animated icons, you will get weather icons on all pages. seems like they're not supported on any than the default 4 day view yet.

On album level, as you can see, fanart isn't displayed in the upper right window as it used to do before. It works on the artist level, though.
While we are at it: How about putting the label flag to the lower right? Or put label left and rating right. Would fit the overall visual balance more in my guess.

great news, andy.. as always.
umh.. which leads me to another possible bug.
as it seems you removed the switch "use vertical menu" - tried to use your mod on a second profile from scratch. in this profile i don't even have access to the vertical menu at all
. thought it might be due to earlier usage of showmix on that profile, so i tried to remove all settings with your new option - didn't help either.. have to admit this regards to the version before your updates of today, so it might became obsolete. but you might try it for yourself on a fresh initiated profile anyway.when you're ready fixing all that stuff, i have another highly reproducable bug for you waiting to get fixed.. expect some work
btw: i hope i'm not bugging you with all my reports - it's just that i really became addicted to your mod and want to help getting it improved and stable

I have 'fanart.jpg' in my album folders, but it never shows up in the right hand window, although artist level works fine. What am I doing wrong here?

this is a XBMC bug, not a skin problem, the MPAA tag does not get imported to the database, maybe you could add a ticket for this on trac
