my videos and my tv shows - supernoman - 2009-07-24

Is it possible to have my videos be strictly in file mode all the time? When I switch to my tv shows, it enables the library mode so the next time I go back to my videos, it's in library mode.
My only need for it is because the gf doesn't get the library mode, but knows the file mode. Some other skins keep them separate so I was hoping there was a way to do it in this one.

Thanks.

Hi there,

First all i must say that i'm really impressed with this mod for MediaStream skin. Now i'm trying to intall it on my XBMC Live usb but it doesn't work (there is not background displayed). Reading the first post i've noticed that this only works with latest SVN versions, but unfortunately i don't know how to update my XBMC live system. So, can anyone here give me a tip to get this working on linux?? how can i install newest SVN version from linux??

thanks in advance,

I've never istalled XBMC with the live... but from what I know it's simply an Ubuntu Linux with some packeges installed and the XBMC repository defined.
You have to define the repository for the SVN... just go in the "download" section of XBMC site and click on "linux" and you will find all the istructions...

Hi,

I really like this skin. Now on this is my default skin.

Image
On-Off menu not centered.

Svn Repo Installer Changelog window buttons need some attention Smile

This is my request:

Some languages have long sentences. Can you center alignment Current temp?

Thx for this skin @Jezz.

For the first one your xbmc is to old update it (I also notice your missing backgrounds)
For the second Someone needs to skin the script for the skin. and by tthe look of it the script needs a better use of default fallback like AMT does
3rd I'll think about it

Jezz_Z, I noticed the next song in the 'Now Playing' popup overlaps the cover if it's too long.

I'm the guy who owns the svn nightly build site [ http://www.xbmcsvn.com aka http://www.sshcs.com/xbmc ]and I was wondering if possibly I could start offering your skin in my skins section?

You can have your own login and with it comes the ability to upload new versions of your skin, a download tracker, and a 20 image image gallery if which you can upload your own screen shots.

The skins are ranked by votes and right now Transparency! is ranked #1 and getting about 100 downloads a day.

If you have it available on SVN please let me know and I can add it to my skin builds.

Thanks

Craig

How could I look into those big puppy dog eyes and say no to that Smile

I don't have it on SVN or anything but I'm more than happy for you to host the download on your site if you like. XBMCeda is a free country Smile

P.S. I like how you name your machines after Farscape characters it twas a cool show

- TheQuestor - 2009-07-29

It's uploaded and ready for the public to grab it Smile.
I made a little anouncement on the main page to let people know it is there, but starting tomorrow it is up to you to keep the skin updated, screen shots fresh, and getting people to vote your great skin up the list.

I've added some basic screen shots but as always you the skin owners know which shots best represent your work so it would probably be a good idea to upload the shots YOU want people to see.

Once you have your login/pw you will have forms available to you to upload new builds and screen shots and the public tracker is already available in the Stats section of the site.

I do have one problem to work out for all skins right now and that is my skin function doesn't understand dot numbers, as in .0.1.2 But i will work on that in the next couple of days

the url for downloading is
http://www.sshcs.com/xbmc/inc/EVA.asp?mode=SDLC&FN=MediaStream_Redux&BN=95
the 95 at the end is the build which can be changed to reflect a new version but give me a day or so to fix the problem with my function not allowing versions to start with a 0 or a .

craig

- TheQuestor - 2009-07-29

I fixed the integer issue with build numbers sorta. It doesn't and I doubt ever will understand things like 0.1.2 but will understand 0.95 so just append what ever version you have on the site to the end of the url and it will then take care of its self

example

http://www.sshcs.com/xbmc/inc/EVA.asp?mode=SDLC&FN=MediaStream_Redux&BN=0.95

is the current version on the site. If you upload say version 0.96 then just update your download link
as

http://www.sshcs.com/xbmc/inc/EVA.asp?mode=SDLC&FN=MediaStream_Redux&BN=0.96

and from then on your tracker will track 0.96 and it will show 0.96 as the revision on my Skins page.

I'm going to rewrite this function later this week and this is just a bandaid until then, but for now it works and doesn't freak out on decimals anymore Smile

Hey Jezz, not sure if you saw this today, but there was a mod to Mediastream to show the studio label tag to those movies that have them:

http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php?showtopic=8186&hl=

Is that something you think could be added to the metadata line? Big Grin

I have the Studio flags and MPAA flags in my mod, look in the forum below this post.
