For the record I only look at and work with the DX build atm.

for the record: no backdrop delay, but same keyboard/ python issues on svn 23912 DX. also exactly same error message and debug.log outputs here. looks like a more general thing that doesn't belong to the rendering engine.

@azido: Keyboard works perfectly here (r23922) with aeon showmix from boot or elsewhere. Default item "Videos" is focused, and left/right respond as expected.

good news, then i just have to wait until kricker or ikons make the build available.

if videos is focused, that means you have nothing added to your libraries? normally movies should be the one in focus.
please do me a favour and add at least one movie or tv show to see if the library totals and recently added widgets also work again.

cheers for your reply
(please help me on that flip animation issue for gods sake, too ~smile~)

another thing i still get at DX builds:

we use a defined window to play back trailers in our skin. all is fine as long as the source trailer has dimensions that fit or are smaller than our defined window size; but as soon as the trailer is bigger, it will go out of our given boundaries instead of scaling to fit the window.

Image
(the red border marks the window the trailer should play in - it works on GL builds)

(a trailer with bigger dimensions does not scale to fit)

Have you tried <aspectratio>scale</aspectratio> ?

Hitcher Wrote:Have you tried <aspectratio>scale</aspectratio> ?

tried that, yes. just for playing media in a videowindow it seems it does not get respected on DX for any reason in our skin..

trailer of 12 monkeys playing on

and DX:

(needless to say we use the same code on both, just the xbmc revision is the difference.)

@ azido
which scraper do you use, cause I'm also from Germany. By the way, looks pretty nice!

ok thx,
I just tested the last 2 version (both dx and gl):
XBMC-Rev23912
XBMC-Rev23858

both are buggy when sound is on "digital". Analog works fine, but thats bad for all my movies with 5.1 sound.

Which (new) version is rather stable? do I have to go back very far?

thanks in advance

check some pages back and see where arguing about digital sound started. or simply wait a while, it gets fixed for sure. remember this is considered only for testing& merging, not for a live environment at present time. you should still run another copy for your daily usage needs Wink

der.supertusse Wrote:FYI

The latest dx-build available with XBMCUpdate breaks on h.264 in a matroska container on my system. It plays video for a few seconds, with no sound, then the pictures freezes. Xvid in avi container works as it should however.

I reverted to an earlier dx build (23739) which I was running prior to updating, and matroska/h.264 playback is working again.

So, if you play mkv's you might want to hold off updating. :-)

Tusse

Exact same problem here ...Last 3/4 builds have issue with matroska/h.264
I run w7x64 thru HDMI/spDIF and w7MC, KMplayer, MPC-HC, WMC plays mkv without problem.
And Yea, rev23739 works fine !!!

anyone tested Rev23944? digital audio works?
