- nickCR - 2010-02-09 Interesting Topic. I just got a O!Play Air and it's a great little machine. I was looking on the ASUS web site today and I ran into something very interesting they have the Source Code for the O!Play Air available from the downloads page for O!Play Air. Not sure if it was up there before but I didn't see it. http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Digital_Media_Player/HDP-R3/SourceCode/OPlayAir_V106_GPL_Release.zip This link might work. Maybe it will help you guys get some nice software working for this little puppy Transfer speed - mEmENT0m0RI - 2010-03-21 Thanks a lot guys! Transfer speed seem to be maxing out at around 20Mbps over the SAMBA share - is that the hardware limit of the Asus box? Thanks again! - kamencesc - 2010-03-21 anyway to get a little free space on 1.21? I had to reinstall optware anyway, because I updated my firmware. It isn't straightforward to install to USB drive because the USB drive needs to be formatted to support symlinks. Here is the full list of commands: My friend i try to mkdir /opt and send a message like:" / # mkdir /opt mkdir: Cannot create directory `/opt': Cannot allocate memory", i try to mount/umont but nothing works, please help. Thx. - swordfish77 - 2010-03-31 Like henryjeanl , i receive the same message. Please, for noob, explain with a little more details please. What are doing wrong? The problem is with moun/umount..why i "cannot alocate memory", why "cannot mkdir../opt"?? - swordfish77 - 2010-04-02 It's possible to not work the "mount / -o remount,rw" command in 1.21 fw? because it seems to do nothing.. I know it's working for U but please help us to make same wonderfull things. Peace and respect! Asus O!Play R3 windows 7 sharing problem - tedeum - 2010-04-15 Hello. I've got a Asus O!Play Air HDP-R3 and a computer with windows 7, and i've problems with the sharing folders. I've done everthing and i can't get the sharing folders to appear in the asus o!play, it ask me for credential everytime. Here are the steps i've taken so far, with no sucess: . I've share some folder in my windows 7 computer, and i've tried to see them on my asus, ask me for credential. . I've created a user in my windows 7 computer, and give him permissions in the sharing folders, and then try to access the sharing folder from my asus o!play and use the user credentials, didn´t work . I've updated the firmware, still didn´t work... I dont know what else can i do.... Please someone could help me? Thanks is advanced. - swordfish77 - 2010-04-17 i manage to alocate memory on extern stick with following command (long live Marcnesium - Asus WL500gP forum): (sda1 = usb stick, "umount /dev/sda1", then "fdisk /dev/sda1", with following command: d --> n --> p --> 1 --> enter --> enter) (Please work with me guys..) mkswap /dev/sda1 swapon /dev/sda1 / # free total used free shared buffers Mem: 120188 86760 33428 0 64 Swap: 524308 0 524308 Total: 644496 86760 557736 IF i understand how it works I PROMISE, to U all nooby like me, to explain more clearly how to install this program. Respect Leogansky for your "Beautiful Mind" but the explain from .nfo simply DON'T WORK! - ingeo - 2010-04-20 Chances are the Asus O!Play Air HDP-R3 is attempting to connect your shares on your Windows 7 machine and it is failing because Microsoft changed their default authentication settings. Try the following and see if it fixes your issue: Control Panel - Administrative Tools - Local Security Policy Local Policies - Security Options Network security: LAN Manager authentication level Send LM & NTLM responses Minimum session security for NTLM SSP Disable Require 128-bit encryption source: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/75-63-windows-samba-issue - ThArGos - 2010-04-21 Hi and thanks for this useful thread! I've wanted to add new TVStations to my O!Play. To do that there are many ways (http://minimodding.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?forumId=2&comments_parentId=1544&comments_per_page=1&thread_style=commentStyle_threaded). So I decided to add the new url directly into the original files (under /usr/local/bin). I've done the following steps in order to have some space on / : mount / -o remount,rw cd /usr/local/bin/Resource ls -l Code: -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 15493 Mar 22 03:38 BRASIL.str No ttf files… So I looked at the size of the files and decided to replace RUSSIAN.str with VIETNAMESE.str. Code: cp VIETNAMESE.str RUSSIAN.str oups. I try to remove RUSSIAN.str. rm RUSSIAN.str I have a message like error: Directory RUSSIAN.str is not empty well the problem now is that I do not have RUSSIAN.str anymore and I have not earn extra free space ! This is weird. I don't understand. Code: # df -h Does anybody have a hint in order to restore these files and maybe how to free space in /usr/local/bin? thanks in advance - thinkinit - 2010-04-24 Did somebody try this? Experiences?
