I tried the last xml from kotix, but i get the error message : Unable to connect to remote server. would you like to continue scanning?
If I say Yes i get the same message...
of coirse the network is working...
i use xbmc on Apple TV 2 (ios)
The error is related with the scraper not working or something else?

Does the gulp xml work for you? I used his file as base and I just fixed somehow the Google and IMDb search,but i'm sure it still need some fixes here and there, I didn't tested it a lot.

I noticed that work better without the google search checked ma still got errors.

I don't think it's a scraper problem... just try to get infos for one movie at time instead of scanning an entire folder.

I have tried the new scraper: it seems all ok for the movie, but there are no information about actors and the fan arts (for example, in alaska when you press up on the movie button for see the recent added films)
Did you have the same problem?

Actors and some other things aren't fixed yet and google is a pain now because of its "non-human" search control when you do a lot of searches at time.

I've done some other fix, now rating and total votes are fixed and taken from IMDB.
I've added a new tag ( <id></id> ) to store the IMDB film id, a lot of scraper uses this tag to retrive data from imdb (useful also if you use Ember Media Manager).
Maybe we can also use it to retrive full cast data from imdb.
i've also updated the settings.xml, disabling by default google search and enabling imdb search (needed for rates and other info)

Thank you Gulp, I'll add your progresses to the scraper
I did some work too, I replaced the google search with Bing and it's working pretty good, I've got tmdb fanarts and posters working and the imdb stuff too.
We can retreive a quick actors list from Movieplayer, but with not pictures and roles, or we can retreive a full cast list with pics from MP or imdb or both, we'll see what's best for us.
